Allies with native americans

A Native American leader called Metacomet began to dislike the English colonists. People began calling him King Phillip because he compared himself to King Charles.Tensions finally erupted into a conflict called King Phillips War.

Conflicts with the American indians

France and England each wanted control over Europe and North America. This conflict causes a series of wars between the two countries.The French built three forts in the Ohio Valley to protect the trade with the Native Americans. The British colonist felt that the French were keeping them from expanding into the West.
