Installation types

Sit-on sinks are installed as top end elements of one or two kitchen cabinets.

Inset sinks are installed into kitchen counter-tops, thus forming part of the continuous work surface.

Flush mount inset sinks are installed into coun-tertops made of waterproof materials (natural stone, composite materials), properly cut to allow the top rim of the sink to be level with the countertop.

Flat mount sinks are installed into a countertop so as to create a uniform work surface.

Undermount bowls are attached from the bottom side of the the countertop, the sink rims thus concealed under the work surface made of natural stone or composite materials.

When buying a kitchen sink it is recommendable to, consider the following:

1. Cabinet width. Our sinks are classified according to the minimum required cabinet width, namely 400, 450, 500, 600, 800, 900 and 1000 mm, plus 900x900 mm corner cabinet. Smaller kitchen sinks can be accomodatedby larger cabinets, but never vice versa.

2. In the next step, you can choose among various materials (stainless steel or composite material), various installation types (inset, flush mount inset, flat mount, undermount or sit-on) and, various sink designs.

Fully Equipped

AccessoriesThe majority of sinks have the most important and most interesting accesso-ries included in the basic package, which is clearly marked in this catalogue. The rest of the accessories are available to order.

Drain Traps and Pop-Up DrainsMost sinks come with suitable drain traps in order to facilitate the instal-lation process. Certain sinks are supplied with pop-up drains, which allow automatic operation of the stopper.

SealsMost of the sinks are fitted with top-quality Alvoflex seals already attached to the undersides of their outer rims. This allows for more permanent fixation and easier installation, and prevents water from leaking under the sink rim and into the countertop and cabinet.

Sound-Deadening UndercoatingAll Alveus stainless sinks are serially fitted with special sound-deadening undercoating. This undercoating mitigates the noise from water splashingupon hitting the sink surface, and thus successfully increases the comfort of working and living.

Factory-Made Cut-OutsAlveus sinks are easy to install, as they are already fitted with cut-outs for taps and eventual accessories (pop-up drain or detergent dispenser). Thus, there is no need to bother with the risky business of cutting out the precisely located holes yourself.

Algranit Composite Material

Kitchen sinks from the newly developed composite material ALGRANIT con-tain 70 % of granite particles bonded together by high-quality polymer resin to achieve excellent sturdiness and resistance to temperatures up to 280°C.The sinks boast excellent resistance to scratches and impacts.

Premium Stainless SteelThe main characteristics and advantages of 18/10 stainless steel are Easy cleaning which ensures, resistance to high temperatures and rapid tempera-ture changes (thermal shock) Resistance to impacts;Resistance to chemical influences;100 % recyclability.The stainless steel (CrNi) thickness ranges from 0.5 mm to 1mm, depending on the price range of the sink.

Health And Environment FriendlinessThe stainless as well as composite Alveus sinks are surface treated to resist the growth of mould, microorganisms and bacteria. All surfaces are easy to clean, as the sinks have no inaccessible spots for bits of food and other grime to accumulate. In addition, Alveus sinks are environmentally friendly, containing no harmful admixtures that might be released into the environ-ment upon decomposition.

HandinessAlveus sink bowls can be up to deeper than other products of the sort. The capacity of the sink is thus increased by up to a few litres, which makes the task of washing up large pieces and big amounts of dishes much more comfortable. The sinks use 70 – 114 mm drain plumbing (depending onthe model), which allows quick drainage of large amounts of water.
