SOME REMINDERS FOR EVERYONE

• Target will be very difficult and challenging but a lot of fun.

• There will be frustration and possibly tears.• It is o.k. to make mistakes.• It is important for your child to take

responsibility.• Please do not do homework for your child

or sign a long range planner if work is not complete.

Page 7: GARVIN’S SPACE AND ROBOTICS ACADEMY

PREVAILING PRACTICES• Gifted students should not be expected to make up missed

regular classroom work or homework on scheduled Target day

• Target homework will be assigned on Target day. Students should make every effort to complete the majority of target homework the day it is assigned. It is always a good idea to look back over the homework the night before Target to review and be ready for the Target day.

• Although Target students do not have letter grades on their report card, it is target practice to assign number and letter grades to tests, projects, and some daily work.

Field Trips• GSRA will be taking several

field trips throughout the year. The purpose of these trips is to allow students to touch and see the things we learn about on a daily basis. Field trips are designed to enrich and supplement classroom instructional topics and they give Target students time to learn with their peers in an informal setting.
