Basic Design-Elements
Full program, that covers several traditional courses Modular structure to allow recombination of lessons 2 types of ICT-based resources:
‚Lectures‘ (Modules): webbased, supplemented by tutors (blended teaching)
‚Hands-on-practice‘ (Case Studies): practice work with GIS and real data (not necessarily webbased)
Technical infrastructure: Web-technologies: XML & Co., Flash Groupware BSCW E-Learning Platform: WebCT (content fed via Cocoon Server)

Conclusion
Fixed structures and rules are indispensable Use IT-tools carefully ‚Real‘ meetings preferred to ‚virtual‘ means of
communication Tolerance, sensibility, ‚good will‘ We learned a lot from exchange of thoughts among
schooltypes and language regions Big project consortium = big challenge = big chances
