    ABSENTEEISM

Geometry is a fascinating and challenging subject, and we have A LOT of material to cover this term.

ATTENDANCE and PUNCTUALITY ARE CRITICAL TO ACADEMIC SUCCESS! Therefore:

Focus during class time is paramount. You cannot remain focused if you are texting, playing a game, posting to Instagram, or using your phone in any non-mathematical way.

Absences without a note from home are UNEXCUSED. It is the students responsibility to get notes and turn in assignments following an absence. IF YOU ARE ABSENT, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE UP MISSED WORK AND TO RESCHEDULE MISSED QUIZZES OR EXAMS.

RULES OF THE HOUSE (non-negotiables) In this house, we do MATH:

o In this classroom, we are all MATHEMATICIANS! o When you are in this class, all you do is MATH. o Be prepared to work everyday, on time, with your supplies.

We keep this house neat and clean: o No personal grooming - no lotion, no hair combing/brushing, no make-up application. o No food or drink (except water) during class o No writing on anything except a piece of paper

In this house, we treat each other respectfully. o We do not interrupt each other when speaking. o We use appropriate language when we speak to the teacher and each other. o We observe One Mic and Safe Space.

NO INTERRUPTIONS OR ELECTRONICS o If you are late, hand in your pass, sign the late log, and quietly take your seat. o Do not interrupt the lesson with bathroom requests or irrelevant questions.

ZERO TOLERANCE ACADEMIC INTEGRITY IS CRITICAL!!! Copying will not be tolerated. If you copy someones work OR if you let someone copy your work, you will fail the assignment. If you copy from someone during a test or quiz, you will receive fail the test or quiz.
