• !reate a folder to work in

• !reate data "le format to import – !omma Separated #alues $.csv% are

highly recommended

Step '(!reate a ro)ect

• *ouble click Geosoft icon on desktopor

• Go to the start menu and "nd +asismonta)

• In the "le menu, go to pro)ect andselect new

• ssign a name to the pro)ect andselect ok





Step -( !reate *atabase

• Go to *atabase on the menu bar andselect ew *atabase

• ssign a name to the *atabase

• Input the re/uired maximumlines0groups $1ows% and maximumchannels0"elds $column%

• !lick ok





Step 2(Import data

• Go back to the database menu

• +n the import option select the Ascii

•

Import data "le using the browseoption

• Select wi3ard set parameters for thedata – !hoose "le type $delimited or "xed "le%

– !hoose column delimiter

– Set data parameter







Step 4( set coordinates

• Go to coordinates on the menu bar

• Select Set Projection

• +n the Georeference database Channels

page – Select your hori3ontal axis data for X Channel

– Select your vertical axis data for Y Channel

• !lick the Projection button to set pro)ection – +ptions5 Projected, Geographic and Unknown

• 6ou can set up a pro)ected coordinate fromthe existing coordinate







Step 7( Grid data

• Go to the Grid and Image menu bar

• Select the gridding type you want inthe gridding option

• !hoose the "le to grid
