We would prefer that air tickets be arranged by the World Bank travel office in your country. We

are nevertheless authorizing personal purchase (the amount based on the most direct, lowest fare business class ticket). If you purchase your own ticket you will need to provide the organizers in Singapore with the original ticket stubs and the receipt of purchase, to claim reimbursement.

You will be received by a Singapore government Liaison Officer (LO) on arrival.

At the Airport in Singapore

After the usual immigration, baggage collection and customs clearance procedures, please proceed to the CAAS Information Counter, Arrival Hall, where a Liaison Officer from the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs will meet you and accompany you to the hotel for the SSLV. (Please note that the Liaison Officer will be waiting for you at the CAAS Information Counter for up to 30 minutes from the moment your aircraft landed).

Ms Nadège Nouviale will be coordinating your arrivals and she can be reached at: [email protected]

All participants will be staying at the

Hotel

Grand Park City Hall

Please settle your hotel expenses on check-out

(10 Coleman Street, Singapore 179809).

Dietary Restrictions If you have any specific dietary restrictions, please send an email to Nadege Nouviale prior to your departure from your home country ([email protected]).

As there will be an opening ceremony, kindly pack at least 1 set of formal attire for the ceremony (or your national dress).

Attire

On most days we’ll be traveling to several sites. Business casual attire will suffice for these visits (i.e., shirt with collar, no tie, casual skirt or trousers and top). The same attire will also be suitable for the other sessions of the SSLV and for the official meals.

Singapore’s climate is generally hot and humid. Light clothing is therefore advised. However, participants may also wish to bring a light jacket against the rain and sweaters for use in meeting rooms that may sometimes be cold.

We will be doing some walking during the site visits so bring a pair of comfortable shoes.
