Product History — Deltek GCS Premier was released in 1999. The latest version, Deltek GCS Premier 3, was released in March 2002.

Target Markets — End users are small to mid-sized companies doing business almost exclusively with the federal government or prime contractors to the federal government.

Client Profile — Deltek’s Government Contracting Services group currently serves more than 1,200 government-contracting organizations nationwide. These government contractors include major players in industries such as engineering, management consulting and other services to the public sector. General Ledger — System-wide integration automates transaction flow and posting to general ledger; Organizational Structure Breakdown (OSB) allows custom financial statements; indirect departments can review expenses; offers built-in accountability of cost-center reporting; and records extensive audit trail for all transactions.

Contracts — Automatically calculates revenues and calculates/allocates indirect rates and costs; produces job cost reports; tracks attributes; analyzes profitability via WBS reporting; automates DCAA-incurred cost submission.

Timesheet and Labor Distribution — Controls labor costs by project; increases timekeeping accuracy; automatically tracks timesheet details and cross charges; offers electronic timesheet integration, payroll generation, and reporting; and interfaces with third-party systems.

Payroll and Human Resources — Automatically generating payroll from timesheet data eliminates duplicate data entry; provides easy steps for editing data online; and calculates and applies user-defined ceilings by category.

Accounts Payable — Optimizes cash flow by providing standard aging and vendor reports and by recording and posting all invoices in A/P, GL, Contracts, and Billing; and can automatically pay unpaid invoices.
