God Is Everywhere for Me

Psalm 139: 7-12

• 7Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? 8If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. 9If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, 10even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. 11If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me," 12even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you. (Ps 139:7-12)

God Is Omnipresent

• 7Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? (Ps 139:7)

I. He wants to help us everywhere we are, anywhere we go. (vv.9-10)

• 9If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, 10even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. (Ps 139:9-10)

• Speed• Space• Guide me and uphold me.

神是簡單的 /God is simple

• 神是不複雜的 /God is not composite.• 神不是像巨大的房屋 , 乃是像重力 /God is

not like a building, He is more like a gravity.


• 我們都用心相信 , 用口承認 , 只有一位純潔 , 屬靈的神 , 那就是永遠 , 不可思議 , 無形 , 永恆 , 不變 , 全能 , 全智 , 公義 , 善良與眾善之源的真活神 . “We all believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths,” says the Belgic Confession (1561), “that there is a single and simple spiritual being, whom we call God—eternal, incomprehensible, invisible, unchangeable, infinite, almighty, completely wise, just, and good, and the overflowing source of all good.” (Article 1).


• God is not made up of goodness, mercy, justice, and power.

• He is goodness, mercy, justice, and power. Every attribute of God is identical with his essence.

• God may have justice or wrath, but he is love.

• 愛是— 6 不喜歡不義，只喜歡真理； ( 林前 13:6)6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. (1Cor 13:6)

• 10 慈愛和誠實彼此相遇；公義和平安彼此相親。 ( 詩 85:10)10Love and faithfulness meet together; righteousness and peace kiss each other. (Ps 85:10)


• His attributes do not stick to him; he is what they are. 不是許多屬性加添在神身上 , 神本身就是這些屬性 .

God is simple.

• Wherever Jonah went, God’s righteousness, omnipotence, love, righteousness are all there waiting for Jonah to guide him and to help him.

• When Jonah directed his own life, his life goes from land

• When Jonah allowed God to direct his life, he saw one of the greatest revivals in the world.

II. God is in this world and outside of this world.

• 8If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths (in Sheol, NKJV), you are there. (Ps 139:8)

• 10For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. (2Cor 5:10)

• 27Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, (Heb 9:27)

II. God is in this world and outside of this world.

• God made us a morally responsible being.• Not like a Pachinko

III. He is in our conscience (vv.11-12).

• 11If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me," 12even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you. (Ps 139:11-12)

• 9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1John 1:9)


• The illustration of gravity does not hold.


• God is in our soul and spirit.• 26. . . . We do not know what we ought to

pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. (Rom 8:26)

Conclusion

• God is Omnipresent• 1. He wants to help us everywhere we are,

anywhere we go (vv.9-10).• 2. God is in this world and outside of this

world (v.8).• 3. He is in our conscience (vv.11-12).
