• LEV 23 23 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 24 Speak unto the

children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation. 25 Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord.

26 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 27 Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord.

34 . . .The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the Lord

TRANSACTIONS TO TAKE PLACE BETWEEN GOD AND HIS PEOPLE

• SPECIFIC BLESSINGS PROMISED TO THOSE WHO OBSERVE THESE FEASTS


• THESE WERE NOT JUST FOR JEWS!• ZECHARIAH PROMISES BLESSING FOR GENTILES WHO

WILL OBSERVE GOD’S FEASTS.Zech 8:22 Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of

hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the Lord. 23 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a

Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.

• IN WRITING TO GENTILE CHURCHES, PAUL ASSUMES HE IS WRITING TO PEOPLE WHO CELEBRATE THE FEASTS!• About PURITY OF LIFE:1 COR 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as

ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: 8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of

sincerity and truth.

OLD HABITS: Need to learn new ways to respond. If you only do what you have always done. . . You will only have what you always had!

OLD WAYS OF THINKING: We must learn new ways of understanding, talking, relating (Poverty Cycle: Poverty is not lack of money . . . it is a mindset!)

REFUSAL TO REPENT: (Renounce and turn from old ways!) To break out of old cycle, ask God: “How do You want me to CHANGE?)

In the Bible God gives us a yearly calendar of these appointed times.

• A GREAT DEAL OF Scripture is devoted to it.• Wonderful promises to those who keep it.• Many examples given in the Word. And yet . . .• Most Christians are totally IGNORANT of it!

APPOINTED TIMES are also called “FEASTS”Not just “HOLIDAYS” or “RITUALS”

They are times set by God to accomplish certain things in our lives!

THEY ARE LITERALLY, “APPOINTMENTS” with GOD
