Features & Benefits
Granite Installation Kit includes everything a fitter requires to install a Granite Worktop. There are also products for Care & Maintenance in there that can be used after installation and passed onto the customer.
The kit includes the following:
Installation and Care & Maintenance Guide – Detailed instructions of how to install and care for your Granite worktop. Note: Follow the Worktop Manufacturer Installation Guidelines in the first instance.
Self Adhesive Heat Reflective Foil Sheets x2 – For use on the underside of the worktop above dishwasher, cooker and washing machine. Necessary to stop the heat from cracking the worktop.
Heat Reflective Tape Roll – For worktop hob cut outs. Necessary to stop the heat from cracking the worktop.
Fixings Pack (12 brackets / 48 screws & washers) – Fix Granite and MDF composite worktops at intersection with carcass tops. Expansion brackets allow movement of worktop.
Fix Solid Granite worktops at intersection with carcass tops using silicone.
Alcohol Wipes x2
Clean the worktop joint before applying silicone to make sure there are no loose particles in the joint.
Silicone – Premium grade neutral cure silicone to joint worktops, secure worktops to carcass and back splash to wall. Neutral cure will not stain or blacken the worktop.
Granite Worktop Sealer – Periodically (approx every 6 months) Granite worktops need to be re-sealed to prevent damage occurring.
Granite & Quartz Worktop Cleaner – Use for everyday cleaning of the work surface and for the final clean after installation.
Disposable Gloves – Use with Granite Sealer – always wear rubber gloves when using chemicals.
Lint free Cloths x2 – Use to apply the Granite Worktop Sealer.
Microfibre Cloth – Use with Granite & Quartz Worktop Cleaner for everyday cleaning.
Silicone
Features:
Unika Silicone is a high quality neutral cure silicone. It is suitable for most sealing jobs internally and externally and stays elastic after curing.
Solvent free
Permanent colour, UV resistant
Low modulus
Very good adhesion on many materials
Directions:

Granite Worktop Sealer
Features:
Ready to use specialist sealer
Protects against Water and Oil spillages
Protects against stains caused by food and drink such as coffee and tea.
Provides transparent vapour permeable protection
Invisible coating
Seals safely – non hazardous, biodegradable and solvent free.
Lasts 3-5 months per average application.
Directions:
Granite Sealer is ready to use, no need to dilute further.
Apply Granite Sealer solution with lint free cloth.
Allow the surface to dry completely before use.
Pre-test in an inconspicuous location to ensure product suitability.
Granite & Quartz Worktop Cleaner
Use on: Granite, Quartz, Marble & Natural Stone Surfaces
Features:
Unika Granite & Quartz Worktop Cleaner is a ready to use everyday specialist cleaner, which tackles everyday grease and grime.
Antibacterial care
Cleans worktop safely – it is non hazardous, biodegradable and solvent free
Cleans worktops without leaving smears to a sparkling clean finish.
Directions:
Spray directly onto work surface. Use a clean dry soft cloth to dry surface and buff to a finish.
It is always best to clean up spills as they occur. However if any stains need further attention, allow Unika Granite & Quartz Cleaner 30 seconds contact time before wiping and rinsing.

Sell alongside every Granite Worktop Sale.
A good quality worktop cleaner is necessary to maintain a Granite Worktop. Granite must not be rubbed with any abrasive materials.
Granite worktops are sealed during manufacture and upon installation, every 6 months after that they should be sealed with Unika Granite Worktop Sealer to prevent damage occurring.
