I am a self-starter and I am able to work efficiently in all aspects of Design from concept and creation to presentation and final output inlcuding pre-press a nd printing. Major Accomplishments Accomplishments in the corporate environment include working with marketing team s to successfully create a corporate identity and incorporate that into all aspe cts of collateral and printed materials. As an in-house designer I completed a yearly 300 page catalog by creating and ov erseeing the output of all collateral through the pre-press, publication and shi pping processes saving the company the cost of having to outsource this work. Experience 2006 - Present Free lance Graphic Design For the last 5 years I have enjoyed Fine Art and Freelance Graphics work includi ng brochures, logos, newsletters, letterheads, ads, web design/site maintenance, advertising billboards, wine label and restaurant menus. 1996 - 2006 BioSource/Invitrogen Senior Graphic Designer - In house I have 10 years corporate Senior Graphic Designer experience in the Marketing De pt. for a major Biotech Co. I was responsible for all graphics and production includ ing journal and magazine ads, posters, signage, corporate identity, logos, marke ting materials, trade show booth designs, web design, an annual 300 page catalog and the annual stock holders report. I worked directly with the Marketing Dept. and clients and also independently with the CEO and scientists to create comput er art and illustration. Education 1994 Ventura College, Ventura, CA Associate of Arts Commercial Art GPA: 4.0 I st udied Commercial Art for 4 years where I received the honor of Commercial Art Student of the Year in 1993. Courses include Graphic Design, Commercial Art,Fine Arts and Computer classes, including Photoshop, Illustrator and Quark, illustra tion, acrylic painting, art & composition, color & design and ceramics. I have r eceived several ad agency awards presented at the "Addies". 2006-2007 White Feather Studio Ceramics Techniques include wheel throwing and sl ab building techniques with production, glaze formulation and application, bisqu e and final kiln firings. 2008-2010 Lindsay's Glass Stained Glass Techniques include designing patterns an d completing stained glass pieces in the leaded glass and copper foil techniques . John Hamm Studio Leaded Art Glass Decorative leaded glass techniques with master glass artist John Hamm. I studied and produced art glass in the style of Green & Green in the Arts & Crafts tradition.
