ASTM A-153 -Standard Specification for Hot Dip Galvanizing

GASKET SPECIFICATIONS(Refer to Gasket Recommendation Tables - No. 18-9.0 and 18-9.2)

Gaskets: Grade “E” EPDM with green color code identificationconforms to ASTM D-2000 for service temperature from -30°F(-34°C) to 230°F (110°C). They are recommended for hotwater not to exceed 230°F (110°C), plus a variety of diluteacids, oil free air and many chemical services. They are notrecommended for petroleum services.

Gaskets (fire protection): Grade “A” EPDMA with violet colorcode identification conforms to ASTM D2000 for fire protectionservices. For dry pipe and freezer systems use Tri-Seal Grade“E” Gaskets with rigid couplings.

Gaskets: Grade “T” Nitrile with orange color code identificationconforms to ASTM D2000 for petroleum products. Notrecommended for hot water systems.

BOLT / NUT SPECIFICATIONS

Bolts and Nuts: Coupling bolts and nuts are heat treated carbonsteel, oval-neck track head bolts and heavy hex nuts, conformingto ASTM A-183 minimum tensile strength of 110,000 psi. Boltsand nuts are Zinc electroplated.

Rigidity

Figure 572 and 772 RigidGrooved Couplings are ideallysuited for valve and fittingconnections, long runs, andrisers where pipe movement isundesirable. Rigid couplingsprovide for joints which arecomparable to pipe jointingsuch as welding and flanging.

Grooved Piping Products provide several design and economicadvantages when compared to welded or flanged systems.

Field modifications are easily accommodated with the GroovedSystem as couplings and fittings can be easily rotated,eliminated and/or added to facilitate the necessarymodification.

ECONOMICAL

Grooved couplings are thefastest method to join steelpipe. There is no need fortwo holing with flanges, andthe potential of fire hazards iseliminated when compared towelding or brazing.

ALIGNMENT

Every grooved coupling is aunion which provides easyaccess for maintenance orpiping system modification.Field modification can behandled easily with minimaleffort due to theinterchangeability of thegrooved method.

FLEXIBILITY

Figure 575 and 705 FlexibleGrooved Couplings allow fordeflection of the piping system.

DEPENDABILITY

The coupling housing aredesigned to engage into thegrooves and provide a securejoint. The pipe ends aresealed by a pressureresponsive gaskets which isencapsulated by the ductileiron housing.

RETROFIT

The Grooved System methodallows for quick economicalchanges as necessary for fieldretrofit, with the ability to isolateequipment and piping systemsfor tenant changes and systemrepair.

System Design

Grooved Piping Products provide the versatility required inpiping systems through the use of rigid and flexible pipingproducts. Figure 572 and 575 Couplings incorporate rotationresistant gripping teeth which provide the installer anddesigner with increased benefits.

Rigid Joints

Rigid Couplings provide rigid gripping of the pipe. They aredesigned to bring the pipe ends closely together and thecoupling clamps firmly onto the pipe OD and also into thebottom of the grooves. Because Rigid Couplings clamparound the entire pipe surface, they provide resistance toflexural loads and therefore permit longer spacing to ASME/ANSI B31.1 (Power Piping) and ASME/ANSI B39.1 (BuildingServices) requirements as well as NFPA 13 (SprinklerSystems).

Flexible Joints

Flexible Couplings act as an "expansion joint", allowing linearand angular movement of the pipe. They are designed withthe coupling keys engaging the pipe without gripping on thebottom of the grooves, while still providing for a restrainedmechanical joint. This is particularly useful to allow for pipeexpansion or contraction and piping misalignment.

Standard Specifications – Roll Groove

1. The maximum allowabletolerances for IPS pipe fromsquare cut ends is 0.030" (0.76mm)for sizes 11⁄4" thru 3"; 0.045"(1.14mm) for sizes 4" thru 6"; and0.060" (1.52mm) for sizes 8" andabove.

2. Gasket Seating Surface "A" mustbe free from score marks, ridges,indentations, projections, loosepaint, scale, dirt chips, grease,rust, etc. that would prevent apositive seal.

3. Groove diameter "C" must be ofuniform depth around thecircumference of the pipe.

4. Groove Depth "D" is a referencedimension only. The GrooveDiameter "C" must be maintained.

Proper pipe end preparation and grooving ismandatory to prevent leakage (See specifications forcut and roll grooving). The gasket seat surface mustbe free from score marks, ridges, indentations,projections, loose paint, flaking galvanizing, scale,dirt chips, grease, rust, etc. that would prevent apositive seal.

The best choice for a trouble free system is to useour rigid couplings with our Tri-Seal gaskets and apetroleum free silicone base lubricant. Pre-lubricated gaskets do not require the use of siliconelubricant.

Tri-Seal Freezer Gasket

The Tri-Seal Grade E freezer gasket is used primarily for drypipe fire protection systems, vacuum service, and freezerapplications. The Tri-Seal freezer gasket differs from standardgaskets by closing off the gap or gasket cavity. This isaccomplished by positioning the center “rib” of the gasket overthe gap between the pipes. The Tri-Seal freezer gasket hastwo tapered sealing edges in addition to the center rib foradditional strength and sealing.

The Tri-Seal freezer gasket is available in sizes 11/4" to 12"and is designed for use with Figure 575, 572, 705, 707 and772 Couplings. A petroleum-free silicone based lubricant isrecommended for dry pipe systems. For low temperatureservices or dry systems in cold storage or freezer applications,use Tri-Seal freezer gaskets. For vacuum services greaterthan 10" Hg, Tri-Seal gaskets should be used.

Note: Rigid couplings are preferred for vacuum, dry pipe andfreezer applications.

Pre-Lubricated Gasket

Pre-lubricated gaskets are provided with a propritary coatingwhich eliminates the need for the installer to apply a lubricantduring the assembly process. They are available in both theGrade A EPDM or Tri-Seal Grade E EPDM styles.

General Notes: It is the Designer’s responsibility toselect products suitable for the intended service andto ensure that pressure ratings and performancedata is not exceeded. Always read and understandthe installation instructions. Never remove anypiping component nor correct or modify any pipingdeficiencies without first depressurizing anddraining the system. Material and gasket selectionshould be verified to be compatible for the specificapplication.

Care and Maintenance

The owner is responsible for the inspection, testing,and maintenance of their fire protection system anddevices in accordance with the applicable standardsof the National Fire Protection Association (e.g.,NFPA 25), in addition to the standards of anyauthority having jurisdiction. The installingcontractor or product manufacturer should becontacted relative to any questions. Any impairmentmust be immediately corrected.

It is recommended that automatic sprinkler systemsbe inspected, tested, and maintained by a qualifiedInspection Service.

Installation / Assembly Instructions

The following instructions apply to Figure 572 and 772 RigidCouplings. The installation is based on pipe grooved in accordancewith Standard Cut Groove or Roll Groove Specifications.

Step 3. Install the gasket by placing the gasket overthe pipe, which is to be fastened by the rigidcoupling and ensure that the gasket lip does notextend beyond the end of the pipe.

Step 2. Verify that the coupling and gasket gradeare correct for the application intended. Pleserefer to “Gasket Grades and GasketRecommendations” Literature for additionalinformation.

Note: Silicone lubricant must be used in Dry Pipe and FreezerApplications. (Pre-lubricated gaskets do not require silicone libricant.)

Step 1. Inspect exterior groove and ends of thepipe to verify all loose debris, dirt, chips, paintand any other foreign material such as greaseare removed. Pipe ends sealing surfaces mustbe free from projections, indentations, or othermarkings.

Step 4. Bring both pipe ends together, ensure properalignment and slide the gasket into position,properly centering it between the groovedportions of each pipe.

Note: the gasket should not protrude into the grooves on either pipesegments or extend between the pipe ends.

The edges and outer surfaces of the gasketshould be covered with a fine layer of petroleum-

free silicone lubricant or equivalent. Petroleum lubricant should notbe used on Grade “E” “EPDM” or Grade A “EPDMA” gaskets toprevent deterioration of the gasket material. Tri-seal gaskets arerecommended for freezer applications.

Step 5. With one nut and bolt removed, “swingaround” as shown. Verify that the housings areover the gasket and that the housing keys arefully engaged into the grooves.

Step 6. Insert the other bolt into the coupling androtate the nuts until finger tight. Verify that thebolt heads are fully recessed in the housing.

Step 7. Alternate between bolts when tighteningnuts until properly torqued as shown in thetable. Note: uneven tightening can cause thegasket to pinch or bind.

Note that on the 11⁄4" - 8" Figure 572 and 11⁄4" -12" 772 couplings there is an intended gap of upto 1/16 of an inch at each pad to allow forpositive rigid gripping onto the pipe.

Note: Sizes 11⁄4" - 12" Figure 772 andFigure 572 utilize a tongue and recessarrangement, which must be matedproperly for the coupling to functionaccording to design.

These pictures show the patented “UniversalTongue and Recess” arrangement. Thesecoupling housings have identical tongue/recess pairs at each end, which allow anengagement fit no matter which end of thehousing is brought together.

Always read and understand the instructions. Neverremove any piping component without verifying thatthe system is depressurized and drained.

Rigid Couplings with Tri-Seal gaskets are preferred for dry pipeand freezer applications.

Installation / Assembly Instructions

The following instructions apply to Figures 575, 705 and 707Flexible Couplings. The installation is based on pipe groovedin accordance with Standard Cut Groove or Roll GrooveSpecifications.

Installation Instructions – Figure 575, 705 and 707 Couplings

Step 1. Inspect exterior groove and ends of thepipe to verify all loose debris, dirt, chips, paintand any other foreign material such as greaseare removed. Pipe ends sealing surfaces mustbe free from projections, indentations, and/orother markings.

Step 2. Verify that the coupling and gasket gradeare correct for the application intended. Pleaserefer to “ Gasket Grades and GasketRecommendations” literature for additionalinformation.

The edges and outer surfaces of the gasketshould be covered with a fine layer of

petroleum-free silicone lubricant or equivalent. Petroleum lubricantshould not be used on Grade “E” “EPDM” or Grade A “EPDMA”gaskets to prevent deterioration of the gasket material. RigidCouplings and Tri-seal gaskets are recommended for freezerapplications. Prelubricated gaskets do not require added lubrication.

Step 4. Bring both pipe ends together, ensureproper alignment and slide the gasket intoposition, properly centering it between thegrooved portions of each pipe. Note: the gasketshould not protrude into the grooves on eitherpipe segments or extend between the pipeends.

Step 5. With one nut and bolt removed, “swingaround” as shown. Verify that the housings areover the gasket and that the housing keys arefully engaged into the grooves.

Step 6. Insert the other bolt into the coupling androtate the nuts until finger tight. Verify that thebolt heads are fully recessed in the housing.

Step 7. Alternate between bolts when tighteningnuts until properly torqued to bring housing incontact with the bolt pads. Note: uneventightening can cause the gasket to pinch orbind. For proper bolt torques please refer tothe table listed on the previous pages.

Note: Figures 575, 705 and 707 Coupling Housingbolt pads must be in contact metal to metal.

An optional Type 304 stainless steel metal insert is available.Pipe telescoping can be a concern when installed in thevertical position. If you are using a metal insert, place theinsert inside the gasket, align the insert slots with the ribs onthe gasket.

Note: Figure 716 Coupling Housings bolt pads mustbe in contact metal to metal.

Step 4. With both bolts removed place thecoupling housings over the gasket. Verify thatthe housings are over the gasket and that thehousing keys are fully engaged into thegrooves.

Step 3. Holes should be de-burred. The gasket-seating surface on the pipe should beexamined to verify all loose debris, dirt, chips,paint and any other foreign material such asgrease are removed.

Step 1. The hole size should beverified in the table on the left.

‡ Proper hole preparation is required for effectivesealing and performance. Check the pipe sealsurface within 5/8” of the hole to be certain it isfree from conditions which would affect propergasket sealing. Remove any sharp or roughedges from the hole or upper housing contactarea, which might affect assembly, properseating of the locating collar or flow from theoutlet. Check gasket grade to be certain it issuitable for the service. For crosses, ensuredouble outlet holes are aligned on oppositesides of the pipe. The use of threaded productsother than steel pipe, such as dry pendents,etc. may not be compatible with the femalethreaded outlet on the Mechanical Tee. Alwaysconfirm compatibility by contacting Tyco FireProducts.

The following instructions apply to Figure 730 MechanicalOutlet Tee and Cross with threaded and grooved outlets. If across configuration is desired the lower housing is replacedwith an upper outlet housing.

Verify that the gasket grade is correct for the applicationintended. Please refer to “Gasket Grades and GasketRecommendations” literature for additional information.

Step 1. Check for proper gasket positioning inhousing. The alignment tabs on the gasketshould fit into the recesses of the housing.Gasket lubrication is not required on thisproduct.

Step 2. With one nut and bolt removed, “swingaround” as shown.

Step 3. Verify that the housing outlet spike ispositioned in the hole. Insert the other boltinto the housing and rotate the nutsclockwise until finger tight. Verify that thebolt heads are fully recessed in the housing.

Step 4. Alternate between bolts when tighteningnuts until properly torqued with even gapsbetween the bolt pads. Note: uneventightening can cause the gasket to pinch orbind. For proper bolt torques please refer tothe table listed below.

Step 2.To assemble the strap on the pipe, remove the“U” bolt. Place the outlet housing over thehole in the pipe. Verify that the housing spikeis positioned in the hole.

Step 3.Insert the “U” bolt into the housing and rotatethe nuts clockwise until finger tight.

Step 4.Alternate between tightening nuts untilproperly torqued. The torque should notexceed 15 lbs.-ft. (20 Nm) on pipe with a wallthickness less than Schedule 10, or 25 lbs.-ft.(34 Nm) for Schedule 10 and above.Overtorqueing can damage thin wall pipe andwill not increase sealing efficiency.

Step 2. Verify that the gasket selection is correctfor the application intended. Please refer to“Gasket Grades and Gasket Recommendations”literature for additional information.

Insert one flange bolt (not supplied) in hingesection of Figure 71 Flange Adapter. Place thehinged assembly into the groove on the pipe.

Step 3. Close the flange with another bolt. Toease in the closure of the flange, two tabs areprovided. Take an adjustable wrench andplace it over the two tabs as shown. Move thewrench parallel to the pipe until the holesalign. Once the holes align insert a bolt.Verify that the housing keys are fully engagedinto the groove.

Step 5. The edges and outer surface of the gasketshould be covered with a fine layer ofpetroleum-free silicone lubricant or equivalent.Petroleum lubricant should not be used onGrade “E” EPDM or Grade “A” EPDMA gasketsto prevent deterioration of the gasket material.

Step 6. Place the gasket into the gasket pocketwith the gasket marking side in first.

Step 7. Bring both the Figure 71 Flange and theopposite Flange together. Ensure properalignment and slide each of the remainingflange bolts (not supplied) in each of theremaining bolt holes. Tighten all nuts

Always read and understand the instructions.Never remove any piping component withoutverifying that the system is depressurized anddrained.These valves are furnished with grooved ends and can beinstalled using Grooved Flexible or Rigid Couplings. Toprevent rotation of the valves it is recommended that theButterfly Valve be installed with rigid type couplings, such asthe Figure 572 or 772. If flexible couplings are used,additional support may be needed to prevent rotation.Butterfly Valves should be located where they will by readilyaccessible for operation inspection and maintenance.

All replacement parts must be obtained from Tyco FireProducts to assure proper operation of the valve. Whenordering parts please specify model number and size.

Butterfly Valves in sizes 8, 10, and 12 inches must be closedprior to installation as the disc extends beyond the valvebody. If the valve is installed with the disc extendedmechanical damage to the disc can occur.

Supervisory Switch Replacement

For ease of replacement, the kit consists of a new gearoperator with internal switches.

Note:Before replacing the gear operator with switches, verifythat the wiring is per the wiring diagram found in step 7.

IMPORTANT:All replacement parts must be obtained from themanufacturer to assure proper operation of the valve.

Warning:Any system maintenance or inspection that involvesplacing a valve "out-of-service" will eliminate the fireprotection normally provided by the fire protectionsystem. Prior to proceeding, be certain to securepermission from all Authorities Having Jurisdiction andnotify all personnel who may be affected during systemshutdown. A fire watch during maintenance periods is arecommended precaution.

The NFPAStandard 25 entitled, "Careand Maintenance of SprinklerSystems" contains guidelinesand minimum maintenancerequirements. To reduce the risk of electric shock disconnectthe electrical power to the switches.

Important:

Marking the lead wires will aid in reconnectingthe replacement wiring in Step 7.

Step 1. Disconnect electrical power and all lead wires to the switchcircuit.

Step 2. Remove the indicator (A) by using a pin punch and a hammerto drive out the roll pin (B) (Save these parts).

Step 3. Remove the hand wheel (C) by using a pin punch and ahammer to drive out the pin (D) (Save these parts). Important: pin(D) is a special UL Section of Weakness pin. Use only this part. Ifit is damaged, order a replacement part from Tyco Fire Products.

Step 4. Remove the mounting bolts (E)(Save these parts) and carefully removethe gear operator off the upper stemensuring that the key is not lost (seephoto).

Inspect the key and if it appears to bedamaged, order a replacement partfrom Tyco Fire Products.

Important: this key is a special FM requirement; donot substitute another component. Should the keyfall out, apply a little grease to the key to help it“stick” in place.

Step 5 Install the new gear operator with bolts (E) from step 4.

Step 6 Replace the handwheel (C) with pin (D) and replace theindicator (A) with pin (B).

Step 7 Connect all of the lead wires to the switch circuit(see wiring diagram below).

Always read and understand the instructions. Neverremove any piping component without verifying thatthe system is depressurized and drained.These valves are furnished with grooved ends and can be ininstalled using Grooved flexible or rigid couplings. Please referto the installation instruction for the particular coupling.

These valves may be installed in either horizontal or verticalpiping systems. The arrow cast into the valve body must pointin the direction of the flow.

Repair Instruction (Figure 590F and 590FR)

All replacement parts must be obtained from Tyco FireProducts to assure proper operation of the valve. Whenordering parts please specify model number and size.

Step 1. Remove the bolts from the cap.

Step 2. Inspect the nickel seating surface to verify the there is noevidence of mechanical damage. The seat also needs to be free ofall loose debris. If the seat is damaged the entire valve will need tobe replaced.

Step 3. Inspect the elastomer seal facing thespring loaded clapper to verify that there is noevidence of mechanical damage. If there isdamage to the elastomer seal and you have aclapper repair kit then proceed to Step 4.

Step 4. Inspect new replacement clapper sub-assembly.

Step 5. Remove the old bonnet gasket materialand clean. Place a new gasket on the cleanedsurface.

Maintenance Kit for Figure 590F Check Valve

The Maintenance Check Valve Kit is specially designed toallow the maintenance procedure of backflushing through thefire department connection. The maintenance kit is intendedto ease the task of backflushing without removing the Figure590F Check Valve from the pipe line. This is accomplished byreplacing the cap / clapper assembly with the maintenance kit(see Installation section for full procedure).

IMPORTANT:

All replacement parts must be obtained from themanufacturer to assure proper operation of the valve.

Never remove any piping component without verifyingthat the system is depressurized and drained.

The owner is responsible for the proper operating condition ofall fire protection devices and accessories. The NFPAStandard 25 entitled, "Care and Maintenance of SprinklerSystems" contains guidelines and minimum maintenancerequirements. Futhermore, the Authority Having Jurisdictionmay have additional regulations and requirements formaintenance, testing and inspection that must be obeyed.

Step 6. Insert replacement clapper sub assemblyinto check valve body.

Step 7. Apply Loctite #242 to bolts. Tighten allnuts uniformly bring the cap and gasket facesfirmly together and ensure that the nuts aretorqued properly as listed in the table below.

Warning:

The Maintenance Cap is provided with warninglabels and tags to indicate that the check valve isout of service. Any system maintenance orinspection that involves placing a valve "out-of-service" will eliminate the fire protectionnormally provided by the fire protection system.Prior to proceeding, be certain to securepermission from all Authorities HavingJurisdiction and notify all personnel who may beaffected during system shutdown. A fire watchduring maintenance periods is a recommendedprecaution.

Step 3. Inspect the nickel seat surface to verify it is free of all loosedebris and dirt which could affect proper sealing.

Step 4. Clean the surface for the cap gasket and place the new gasket(supplied) on the cleaned surface.

Step 6. Backflush the system. When done backflushing, verify that thesystem is depressurized and drained.

Step 7. Remove the bolts from the maintenance cap, and remove thecap.

Step 8. Replace the cap with clapper assembly (removed in Step 2)into the Check Valve body. Apply Loctite® #242 to bolts. Torque allbolts (per torque values in Step 5), uniformly bringing the cap andgasket firmly together.

Terms of SaleGeneral

All sales by Tyco Fire Products shall be subject to the following termsand conditions which, together with product specifications anddesigns, shall be subject to change without prior notice. Theplacement of orders with Tyco Fire Products shall constituteacceptance of the terms, conditions, specifications and designs thenin effect and being offered. Terms and conditions in effect are notsubject to modification or waiver by a purchase order or any otherdocument unless agreed to in writing by and authorized representativeof Tyco Fire Products.

Prices

All selling prices are F.O.B. Lansdale or Regional Tyco Fire ProductsDistribution Warehouse. Prices are subject to change without priornotice.

Late Charges

Domestic, including Canada - unless otherwise agreed by Tyco FireProducts, terms shall be net 30 days. A charge of 11⁄2% per month(18% per annum) will be added to all past due amounts.

Overseas - Irrevocable Letter of Credit or other form of paymentacceptable to Tyco Fire Products, paid prior to shipment.

Minimum Charge

$50.00 per order, domestic shipment only.

Export Packing

An extra charge will be made for special packaging in the amount of1% of the cost of the goods being shipped of air and oceanshipments. If it is required that we fully crate a shipment atcustomer’s request, the charge for the crating will be 3% of the cost ofthe goods being shipped.

Special Handling

An extra charge may be made for special handling and packaging.

Special material orders and make-to-order products may not becancelled unless agreed to by Tyco Fire Products in writing, and uponagreement to compensation for work already performed. Any specialmaterial, Tyco Fire Products non-manufactured items deemed to benonstandard may not be cancelled.

Method of Shipment

Unless shipment method or routing is designated by the Buyer, TycoFire Products will make this selection in its sole discretion at Buyer’srisk. Tyco Fire Products shall bear no risk of loss, damage or delay bya carrier while in transit.

Return Shipments

There shall be no credit given for material returned without writtenauthorization. Requests for returns must be made within 14 days ofreceipt of materials and shall include the date and invoice number ofthe original purchase. Returns will be credited for the amount of thepurchase price less 20% for handling, inspection, and retestingprovided the goods are in resalable condition. Returns must beshipped freight prepaid to Tyco Fire Products Distribution Center (ouroption). Materials purchased for you from other manufacturers aresubject to their return policy terms and may not be returnable.

Specify gasket grade when ordering and confirm receipt of gradeordered, to insure suitability for intended use; Tyco Fire Productsshall not be liable for selection of improper gasket grades, or thereturn of gaskets under such circumstances.

Liability

Shipping or delivery dates are approximate only and subject toreasonable delay. Tyco Fire Products will not be liable for anydamages (incidental, consequential, liquidated or otherwise) whichmay be incurred or arise, directly or indirectly, from any failure byTyco Fire Products to meet shipping or delivery dates.

Products manufactured by Tyco Fire Products are warranted solely tothe original Buyer for ten (10) years against defects in material andworkmanship when paid for and properly installed and maintainedunder normal use and service. This warranty will expire ten (10) yearsfrom date of shipment by Tyco Fire Products. No warranty is given forproducts or components manufactured by companies not affiliated byownership with Tyco Fire Products or for products and componentswhich have been subject to misuse, improper installation, corrosion,or which have not been installed, maintained, modified or repaired inaccordance with applicable Standards of the National Fire ProtectionAssociation (NFPA), and/or the standards of any other AuthoritiesHaving Jurisdiction. Materials found by Tyco Fire Products to bedefective shall be either repaired or replaced, at Tyco Fire Products’sole option. Tyco Fire Products neither assumes, nor authorizes anyperson to assume for it, any other obligation in connection with thesale of products or parts of products. Tyco Fire Products shall not beresponsible for sprinkler system design errors or inaccurate orincomplete information supplied by Buyer or Buyer’s representatives.

IN NO EVENT SHALL TYCO FIRE PRODUCTS BE LIABLE, INCONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY OR UNDER ANY OTHER LEGALTHEORY, FOR INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, SPECIAL ORCONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TOLABOR CHARGES, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER TYCO FIREPRODUCTS WAS INFORMED ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCHDAMAGES, AND IN NO EVENT SHALL TYCO FIRE PRODUCTS’LIABILITY EXCEED AN AMOUNT EQUAL TO THE SALES PRICE.

THE FOREGOING WARRANTY IS MADE IN LIEU OF ANY AND ALL OTHERWARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OFMERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions of sale shall be construed under and inaccordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.Buyer consents and agrees to the jurisdiction and venue of the Courtof Common Pleas of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania and the U.S.District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania with respect toany proceeding arising out of or in connection with any transactionentered into between Tyco Fire Products and Buyer. Buyer furtheragrees that mailing to either party by certified registered mail shallconstitute lawful and valid services of process.
