This exhibition builds bridges to a more inclusive community through the universal language of creative expression. The Community Room shows mixed media work by Lisa Yu. Image: B Winkley. 2 6 PM | Raven Frame Works (325 W 4th Ave) To describe the artwork of Whiteaker artist Haint Bradly as “papercraft shadow boxes” is a huge understatement. Haint takes paper, patience, skill, and imagination to a unique level that is stunningly meticulous and colorful. 3 6:30 PM | The New Zone Gallery (220 W 8th Ave) The New Zone Gallery hosts their fall edition of “ZONE 4 ALL” October 5th-26th. This non-juried show is open to all Lane County artists with 2D and 3D works. Music: David Rogers, world classical guitar and songs of the new West. 4 7 PM | MAVEN (271 W 8th Ave) Don’t miss MAVEN’s final First Friday ArtWalk celebration! “Selected Works” brings together three unique and very different Eugene artists - VRGNZ (image on left), Taylor Sims, and Sara B. Coyote - for a night of diversity in culture and art. Costumes are encouraged and there will be a silent auction with proceeds benefiting a local non-profit. Also enjoy French Cookie, wine tastings, and music by Dj duo Marmalade. 5 7:30 PM | InEugene Real Estate (100 E Broadway) San Francisco Bay Area artist Eric Joyner juxtaposes modern and fantastical landscapes with dinosaurs, robots, and doughnuts. He delights aficionados and children alike with dreamland gravitas. Oil paint is transformed into sugary sprinkles, tin rocketry, and prehistoric grandeur and he reverberates ripples of humor and social commentary throughout his work. His paintings hang on Hollywood sets, from The Big Bang Theory to the X-Files, and are collected by clients such as George Lucas. The opening features live music, Voodoo Doughnuts, and a robot costume contest! 9 OUT ON A LIMB Gallery (191 E Broadway) 100 prints from WhitPrint’s first Emerald Print Exchange, a national call to printmakers for an edition of 5x7 inch hand-pulled original prints, to be exchanged with other participants. These prints represent a wide variety of styles and techniques,

from screenprinting to etching and more. In addition, the WhitPrint wall exhibits work by Margaret Plumb. 10 White Lotus Gallery

(767 Willamette St) “Landscape Through a Lens: Two Visions,” photographs by Charles Search and Gary Tepfer, both traditional film photographers who interpret the landscape. Tepfer uses color film and cibachrome prints to express his vision. Search pairs black and white film with silver print as his medium. On display through October 27th.

(200 W Broadway) “Stream of Consciousness,” featuring Karen Lee’s distinctive mixed media blend of digital photography and fiber arts. On display through November. 13 Starlight Lounge

(830 Olive St) “Demons and Delights: A Collection of Horror Art!” by Bonnie Bozell combines the artist’s love for supernatural elements, horror, Halloween, retro memorabilia, and contemporary culture.

14 Townshend’s Teahouse (41 W Broadway) Nikolaj Byrdman is inspired by portrayals of the universe otherwise unknown without modern technologies. In her work, she explores realities beyond the confines of basic human perception.

15 Broadway Commerce Center (44 W Broadway) The lower level of the Broadway Commerce Center highlights several small murals and panels by Esteban Camacho Steffensen. Esteban depicts underwater ecosystems and visual narratives as a means to engage the public in the critical issues of our age and to generate awareness of ecological and social challenges. 16 ECO Sleep Solutions and

“The Space Between Us,” paintings by Duskin D’Fonseca Becker and Ronald Eugene Pennington, two artists with forty years between them. (1020 Pearl St) “Absent,” new digital collage mixed media work by Beth I. Robinson. Beth has a love for found objects, collage, cut edges, and the unspoken. Her work is often characterized by mere fragments, ghosts of materials, soft pencil lines, and patterns. Capturing the momentary voice of these objects and ephemera accentuates the missing, forgotten, or the things often left unspoken beneath the surfaces of loss.
