Art GuidelinesART TIPS / DETAILS:

1. Guaranteed type size is 10 pt (at ACTUAL ART SIZE). 2. Outline all fonts / convert to paths. 3. Avoid thin lines. Minimum line thickness 0.75 pt at ACTUAL SIZE. 4. Use solid spot colors. 5. Avoid halftones, screen printing turns halftones into dot patterns. 6. Do NOT forward art. Send art directly from original source. 7. Specify PMS colors when requesting a color match. If unsure, refer to UNCOATED PMS swatches. We will attempt to match all colors; however, exact matches are NOT guaranteed.

Sublimation: 1. Due to 1/8” shift in printing variance, it is best to avoid borders in artwork. 2. Avoid thin lines. Minimum line thickness for reversed out design elements / text 1.5 pt at ACTUAL SIZE.

ART CHARGES:

$75 (V) per hour for any art creation, rebuilding or clean up. Minor typesetting (15 minutes or less) will be done at no charge. A third revision to your paper proof will result in an art charge of ¼ hour minimum.

ART ON FILE:

HandStands® will keep art on file for a maximum of two years. A new set-up charge may be required for orders after two years.

ACCEPTABLE ART Vector file (OUTLINED FONTS) or 300 dpi art

ACCEPTABLE ARTWORK:

1. VECTOR ART - EPS, PDF or AI (this is line art, NOT photographic art) with fonts OUTLINED (converted to paths). All spot blacks need to be converted to 100% Process Black. 2. High resolution TIFF, JPEG or PSD (300 dpi) at or above actual size. 100% Black ONLY for screen printed imprints. For 4-color process (RGB or CMYK) include at least ½” bleed.

UNACCEPTABLE ARTWORK:

We do NOT accept the following: 1. Web images or low resolution (72 dpi) images that appear jagged. 2. Artwork containing FONTS that are NOT outlined (converted to paths). 3. Your imprint already imprinted, hot stamped or embroidered. 4. Anything stapled, folded, clipped, taped or handwritten on samples.

CONFIRMATION PROCESS: 1. A confirmation and art layout will be e-mailed or faxed to you at no charge on every order. 2. Production will not begin until sign-off is received, including repeat orders. 3. Any delays in returning proof may delay your requested ship date, resulting in possible rush charges if a deadline date must still be met.

RUSH SERVICE: We are pleased to do “handstands” for you and offer rush service whenever possible. Please call to verify availability and charges.

PRE-PRODUCTION PROOFS: 1. Set-up charges will apply for each pre-production proof requested. 2. If changes are necessary on the pre-production proof, additional setup charges may be added. 3. Pre-production proofs are required on all large quantity orders 5,000 and above. 4. In addition to set-up costs, a pre-production charge may apply.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS: We request a shipper number be provided. Duties and taxes are to be paid by receiver.

OVER / UNDER RUNS: Orders are produced in excess quantities to allow for product and decoration rejects. Orders will be subject to a 5% over / under run.

PRODUCT SAFETY: 1. Our products have been evaluated by an accredited third party laboratory and have met CPSIA safety requirements where applicable. RETURN POLICY: 1. Decorated product is not returnable for refund. 2. Call your Inside Sales Representative for a return authorization number on blank product. 3. Blank product returned is subject to a 15% restocking fee, plus all incurred freight charges. 4. Claims must be made within 30 days of shipment.

4-COLOR PROCESS, SUBLIMATION: 1. Exact color matching is not always possible with this method. For PMS matching, we require uncoated PMS colors. 2. Colors may vary within the run. 3. Provide at least 1/2” Bleed. 4. Allow variance of image placement up to 1/8” in all directions.

SAMPLE POLICY: 1. One sample per style provided at no charge. 2. Provide preferred method of shipment with your request 3. Provide UPS or Federal Express shipper number.

SPECULATIVE SAMPLES: Setup charges apply, plus EQP cost of product for the number of samples requested.
