This year is a record breaking year for both Phan and Phuong when it comes to

. , travelling Early in April Phuong moved to Aviva Regional O ffice Business Development team and has been travelling every month , ,since mostly to Vietnam but also to Korea

. China and London Phan is still at Willis , Singapore also enjoyed business travel to

, . London Malaysia and Indonesia Spending time apart has definitely made time together

, , .sweeter more treasured more valued

2 Our family spent a great weeks in Australia . in September We enjoyed great wines while

, ’adoring the Sydney Harbour tried the world s , steepest railway in Blue Mountain drove to

,many rural yet scenic places in Melbourne

( !), tasted Kangaroo meat chewy watched wild Philip Island Penguins returning home from sea

, at sunset admired the wonderful and rugged , coastal scenery along Great Ocean Road built

- half a snowman then tombogan ing down the !slope of Lake Mountain ski resort…memories that little Emma will remember for life

. Life in Singapore has also treated us well Emma is -well settled at Superland Montessori pre school,

2 Nursery and has never stopped enjoying her days . , there She likes her friends her English and Chinese

, teachers and has done well to pick up both . languages at the same time Emma is also good at

dancing . and enjoys a weekly ballet class She

’ , can write her name and all family members names identify alphabet letters and read .numbers

, In October Phan and Phuong went back to London to see our , - ’ -friends ex colleagues and Phan s host family back in his A

. “ ” level time Seeing our friends and their now expanded family . made it a memorable journey full of emotions Going back to London , ,was indeed going back home to the same cloudy sky

, windy streets terrible traffic jams and slow public transport one 12 . - put up with for over years But no one can deny London is

, a great city full of energy and opportunities where various life . changing experiences have made us who we are today

Our house contract ended late November when we moved to a similar flat but lower floor to the one

. we stayed before The new place comes with pros ( ) ( cooler and more windy and cons lower floor

). means more bugs and occasional mosquitoes We ( 3still have Yen Khong with us yes for more than

) years now and I hope she will stay with us for , much longer at least till she decides to get married .

Both ’ , my Mom and Phan s Mom came to stay with us for a short period this year and we . had good time together Emma learned a lot from grandmas and never stopped asking

. questions She will see them again this year in January when we go back to Hanoi for Tet ’ . holiday and her aunty s wedding
