THE E DIF I ER “Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace,
and the things wherewith one may edify another” (Rom. 14:19).
Walnut Street Church of Christ Volume 46 April 3, 2016 Number 14
FAMILY MATTERS...Steve Baggett INVOLVING YOU...Larry Snow
Our inaugural “Food For Thought” lunch is next Tuesday, April 12. You are invited!
“Food For Thought” is an opportunity for local business people to gather for a great lunch, some networking, and a brief inspirational message. We will start at noon on the second Tuesday in April (4.12.2016) and promise to keep it to 40 minutes. The dress code? From blue jeans to coat and tie, we invite our community’s colleagues to come together in an informal setting to connect, build relationships and be inspired. It’s Food For Thought.
Here is what you can do this week: Invite a friend or coworker to lunch on Tuesday, April 12 at
noon at Walnut Street (Fellowship Hall). RSVP to the office by this Friday morning, April 8. Cost: your
email address. It could be on a business card or just a piece of paper.
Share the Facebook “Food For Thought at Walnut Street” page and help get the word out.
For those interested in Walnut Street history, Mrs. Clarice Mingle Stocks passed away at the age of 101 on March 19, 2016. She was the wife of Bond Stocks, a former minster here at Walnut Street.
Pictured below is our youth singing at Walnut Street
following their recent trip to Texas.
Robert Cullom 09/24/37- 03/30/16
We extend our sympathy to Katherine Cullom, her family, and the entire Water Street church family in Charlotte at the passing of our dear friend and brother, Robert Cullom. Had he lived until December of this
year, Robert would have served as the minister for the Water Street congregation for fifty years. He was one of the most well-known and well-loved men in Dickson County. He will be dearly missed! Let’s keep the Water Street church family in our prayers.
Lies, Myths, and Half-Truths That Destroy Relationships
New Class! Starting Today
In this class you will discover:
What relationship choice leads to greater wealth, health, and physical satisfaction? It’s completely counter-cultural.
Did you marry your best friend? Or your soul mate? Beware, there’s trouble ahead! Get the info you need to keep your relationship strong.
All you need is love? You might want a few other vital things, this ONE in particular!
Is marriage a 50-50 proposition? It doesn’t add up, try this math instead!
Been married before? You must know this information to understand what could undermine your relationship.
Discover more about what God planned for your relationships
all along!
Beginning Today, April 3, Classroom 410, at 10:15 AM
Steve Moore, teacher of the class says, “This class is for anyone who is married, remarried, might get married in the future, is dating, planning on dating, or knows someone in any of these categories! In other words, this class is for you!”
