  • Male life expectancy gap between the worst (St Pancras & Somers Town) and the best (Hampstead) wards has fallen from 11 years to eight years
  • Male life expectancy across the borough has increased and is now almost in line with the average for England
  • The gap in mortality rate between the four worst wards and the borough average has decreased

  • There is an 8 year gap in male life expectancy between Hampstead and St Pancras & Somers Town, and a 7 year gap in female life expectancy between Hampstead and Kentish Town
  • St Pancras & Somers Town and Kilburn wards are amongst the 15 wards with thelowest male life expectancy in London.
  • Circulatory disease (32% of all deaths) and cancer (28% of all deaths) are the biggest killers in Camden.
