AIESEC in UGM was established in 2011 as one of the official expansions. Within 2 years as an Official Expansion, AIESEC in UGM managed to do a good performance

AIESEC in UGM

AIESEC in UGM will keep on developing its potential by develop more leaders and deliver more impacts, especially in the Yogyakarta region.

On January 2013, AIESEC in UGM managed to achieve the status of the first Local Committee in Yogyakarta. In 2014 AIESEC in UGM is awarded as the BEST Local Committee in Indonesia.

NATIONALPROJECT

National Projects is run by Indonesian youths and the volunteers from abroad who take care of social issues that happened in Indonesia.

National Projects aim to solve the problems that are currently happened in Indonesia. The national projects cover two issues that happening mostly in Indonesia: Entreprenuer & Health and Lifestyle.

HEALVOLUTION Healvolution is a national project of AIESEC Indonesia, aims to reduce the risk of diabetes and obesity by creating a habit of consuming healthy foods and drinks among young people in Indonesia.

For it is conducted by AIESEC LC UGM, this project also aims to create better activities through the cultural approach and will be held in a rural area.

Incoming Preparation Seminar & Welcoming Party

Fun Learning

As said before that Healvolution will concern health through cultural approach, the regular daily activity will be about teaching English and culture sharing includes healthy food sharing between the EPs and students.

This daily activity will be regularly held every weekdays.

Incoming Preparation Seminar & Welcoming Party aims to give orientation about what the EPs are going to do during your 6 weeks of project.

This activity will be held on EPs’ first week of arrival in a form of national conference in Surabaya.

Cultural Day

This is an exhibition to showcase people about healthy food options from each of the EPs’ country and indirectly build the excitement to try to implement healthy food for daily life with diverse recipe.

The EPs will present the culture (flag, traditional clothes, dance, songs, etc.) from EPs’ own countries while giving some opportunity to the visitors to try the homemade healthy food.

This activity will be conducted in collaboration with another iGCDP project; Entrevolution.

Bento Day

Bento Day is simply about creating a creative lunch in a lunch box and later eating it together.

This aims to increase children awareness about the importance of consuming healthy foods and drinks as well as making the children directly contribute in the creation of the healthy food in a fun way.

Bento Day will be held once a week, on one particular day. The most creative Bento Box creation will be chosen as the winner of the week.

Health Seminar

To provide a knowledge about healthy foods, drinks, and habits, Health Seminar will engage an institution. Moreover, in this activity we will have an association with medical students of Universitas Gadjah Mada Yogyakarta to provide a free blood check booth, so the villagers will know about their health problem and how to improve it.

Zumba is kind of a dance which recently is very popular and fun. Since our issue focuses on obesity and diebetes, this activity will help people to have a healthy habit through a fun activity.

This activity will be held once a week every weekend.

Farewell Party

As we know, farewell party will be the very last activity the EPs do in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This activity engages all people who participate the Healvolution Project 2015.
