THE first two months of the year have produced a sound start to the property market, according to Hereford estate agent Andrew Morris. Since the turn of the year there has been a steady supply of new instructions coming onto the market and where those have been realistically priced sales have taken place within two to three weeks of the properties being offered for sale. Mr Morris said February was a particularly good month, with investors returning to the market for the buy-tolet property under 150,000 and with movement in the residential market with sales taking place at first-time buyer levels. He said the new Crest development at The Furlongs, Roman Road, has also been well received and the introduction of new three and four-bedroomed detached houses into the market place has certainly given purchasers seeking new builds north of the city an opportunity to move up the property ladder. March, with the light nights emerging, usually brings about additional viewing time for applicants to inspect property and also acts as a springboard for more property to be placed on the open market by vendors interested in moving for the early spring property market.
