In order to get HLF support:•Must be important to our heritage•Risk to heritage will be reduced•Will help more people to engage with heritage•Price reflects condition and value•Adequate plans for management and maintenanceHLF don’t support purchases above market value

Property ownership and HLF

Guidance on ‘property ownership’ in programme documents

•For projects that include buying or carrying out capital work to land/ buildings you need to own or have lease of required length on property

•You need to own/ have lease on property before you get permission to start the project
