From Walker Field Airport merge onto the I-70E via theramp on the left. Proceed east on I-70 for 30.1 miles. Exit at the DeBeque Exit 62. Turn left (North) on 45 Road. Our week-long Dude Ranch experiences start on Sundays with a High Lonesome Ranch welcome and orientation and end on Saturdays, often with families' being fully bonded toone another, their wranglers and especially to their horses. Horses are an integral part ofranch life, and at The High Lonesome Ranch we've got an assortment of equestrian activities for all levels of riders.

There is always something interesting to do at The High Lonesome Ranch. Even disgruntled teenagers turn their frowns upside down when they step foot on theranch. The open space, equestrian activities and delicious food make for a powerful combination, one that everyone remembers for a long time to come.

The High Lonesome Ranch Guest Ranch packages are geared towards year-round outdoors activities. Options include a full equestrian program, fly-fishing, wing shooting,

hiking, mountain biking, big game hunting, nature tours,massage therapy, white-water rafting trips, wild-horsetours, golf, cooking classes, and winery tours. Choosefrom pre-made packages or build your own.

At The High Lonesome Ranch's epicenter are the ranchheadquarters and cookhouse. Both log buildings are froman authentic, pioneer homestead. The Lonesome Outfitterhas all the hard and soft goods you'll need for your adventures. Cocktail hour is held by the stone hearth on the living room's leather chairsand couches. The adjoining dining room has aspen tables and chairs that can be configured in any way to best accommodate your group. A private guest business centerin our headquarters is complete with a computer and a hard phone line as well as WiFi.We now feature WiFi access at several of our guest quarters.

The K-T Ranch in Meeker serves as a world-class fly-fishing lodge. The four-bedroom,4200 square foot restored Victorian ranch house was built in the 1880's and is one of thefew remaining homestead properties in Meeker. After a peaceful stay working the fertiletrout river, spring creeks, and beaver ponds at the K-T, you'll find tremendous opportunities for horseback riding, backpacking, and hiking on nearby trails.

To think outside the box you’ll need to leave the box at home. We’ll help you do that onyour drive in to The High Lonesome Ranch. You’ll begin your meeting by passing wildhorses, elk, mule deer, and pheasant on your way in to an intimate conference facility fora corporate retreat that accommodates up to 34. Executives can broadcast presentationsin surround sound on a 60-inch flat screen monitor, access networks back home througha wireless server, and use a variety of scenic guest houses and cabins for breakout sessions. Configure the conference center any way you want it.

Accommodations include master suites, private rooms or shared, private baths, andremodeled common areas. You’ll find coffee, soda, bottled water, wine and snacks in eachof the houses, along with sofas, over-sized armchairs, and recreational activities. Guests have use of the ranch’s golf carts for easy travel across short distances. A fleet of vehicles driven by guides transports guests to their sporting activities.

Our Guest Ranch can accommodate 68 total guests in a variety of accommodations. Two guesthouses accommodate upto 28 attendees, four scenic cabins can accommodate 24 guests, and our new Castle Rock Camp features an upscalesafari-tent experience for up to 16 guests.

Chose from fly-fishing, wing shooting, horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, naturetours, massage therapy, whitewater rafting trips, wild horse tours, golf, winery tours, orsporting clays shooting and you’ll have plenty to do. One corporate customer favors anorienteering team-building event while others combine morning meetings with afternoonactivities. The activities vary each afternoon, and all guides are patient instructors.

Dinner at the ranch is a casual affair, but just try and tell that to your taste buds. Our chefis at the helm in the evenings, bringing culinary mastery and innovative contemporaryranch cuisine to the table. He works with local and sustainable vendors to bring

farm-fresh ingredients to our dining table every evening. You’ll find sensational dishes like a wood-fired cowboy rib eyewith red chili steak butter or an oak-roasted pheasant breast with habanero-peach chutney. He often chooses to grilloutdoors where guests can watch, talk, and participate as they sip local wines and stargaze.

Breakfast is hot and hearty, featuring the Southern cooking delicacies of the ranch’s own Aunt Linda Doden and herstaff: scrumptious blueberry pancakes, homemade muffins, breads and pastries, all made from scratch. Throw in someeggs with her homemade salsa, a little sausage, and cup of our roasted coffee and you’re ready for a day in the field.

Getting to the ranch is easy. Grand Junction’s Walker Field Airport has flights from half a dozen commercial airlines aswell as a 10,501 foot runway that can accommodate private aircraft. Garfield County Regional Airport boasts a 7,000-foot runway, and they are both about 30 miles from the ranch. Airport pickup can be arranged.

Situated in the picturesque Kimball Creek valley is our Castle Rock Camp. Intimategroups favor our accommodations in eight, tastefully appointed Out-of-Africa-style canvas tents on hardwood floors. Each camp comes complete with freestanding beds,dressers, and even a propane heater to take the chill off the evening air. A short walkaway is your own private bathhouse. No details are overlooked in these private bathrooms that feature double granite sinks, showers, and dressing areas. Enjoy themagnificent sunrises and sunsets while watching herds of deer and elk from the patio.

Castle Rock Camp makes for the perfect setting for weddings,small corporate meetings, family reunions, and other events during the year. A private chef is available to prepare plated orbuffet-style contemporary ranch cuisine for your family, businessfunction, reunion, or wedding. Castle Rock Camp offers yourchoice of indoor or outdoor seating for up to 96. Receptions andcocktails are held on the patio near our large stone fireplace andevening activities are centered around our outdoor fire pit. The camp is handicap accessible.

Guest House Closest to the main lodge and dining area, the eight-bedroom Guest House provides a spacious retreat for up to 18guests. The Guest House is a cabin design with large windows that allow you to watch mule deer graze while drinkingyour morning coffee. Inside you’ll find a fully-appointed kitchen and adjoining breakfast room, a great room for loung-ing, a large recreation room with an antique gaming table, flat-screen satellite TV, DVD player, WIFI, a stone fireplaceand pool table, a screened porch – ideal for reading and relaxing, and a guest dog kennel. The wide, open deck acrossthe front of the house is the perfect spot to wind down from the day and catch the true meaning of purple mountains’majesty at sunset. Top off the evening under the stars.

Pond HouseThe roomy five-bedroom Pond House is a short drive from the main lodge and canaccommodate up to ten guests. It being remodeled in the first quarter of 2011. Whatmakes the setting complete are the spectacular western views of the mountains andfields from the front of the house. Anglers love watching trout rise in the adjacent troutpond. Inside you’ll find a fully-appointed kitchen, flat-screen satellite TV, DVD player,WIFI, a screened porch, and a guest dog kennel. Here, just a few yards from the front

door, you can warm up for the day casting to some passing trout as they cruise by each morning.

Forshay Log CabinThe two-bedroom, two-bath Forshay log cabin is a drive up the valley and offers an awesome view of the peaks and valley below. Refurbished in 2008, there are two bedrooms, a fully-appointed kitchen, and a dining/lounging area. The Forshay bunkhouseis a few steps away, and has an additional two bedrooms and a shared bath. The combination makes for a perfect family retreat.

Homestread HouseThe three-bedroom, three-bath Homestead House issecluded and offers great vistas. Refurbished in 2010, there is a fully-appointed kitchen,a dining/lounging area, flat-screen satellite TV, DVD player, and WIFI. The house is perfect for famillies.
