Mindfulness Program

This Friday I will be commencing a 6 week program of mindfulness practices for students and teachers from Kindergarten to Year 5.

I’ve had extensive experience teaching relaxation exercises, breathing techniques and meditation to both students and adults over my many years as a teacher. I am very mindful of differing beliefs and expectations so the program takes this into consideration.

I am incorporating The Smiling Mind program, endorsed by many well known sporting and professional bodies including Cricket Australia. The free Smiling Mind app is available to download if you are interested to see what the program entails.

I am also a passionate believer in ‘bringing the outside in and the inside out’ so the program will include nature elements where possible. I look forward to working with Hobartville students to help them uncover tools they can utilise to relax, strengthen resilience, relieve stress and rebalance emotional overwhelm.

Thank you

Ms Stalley (Stage 3 teacher at Hobartville PS)
