Important FACCS Competition Information!! February 23, 2018 Our school has the opportunity to participate in the FACCS Regional Junior Fine Arts Competition this year. This event is open to all students in grades 1-8. The competition will be held on Friday, April 20, at Hobe Sound Christian Academy in Hobe Sound. We have many students who will be signed up for music events, but some may also be interested in art or speech. You will receive a different form with music entries if your child has been selected by their music teacher. Please fill out and return the following form only if your child plans to enter an art project. Students may enter up to two art entries in different categories. These are allowed in addition to the 5 performance (music and speech) events. Students entering art are not required to attend the competition. They may send their art with a teacher. If a student wishes to attend the competition in art only, a parent must attend with them. Please see the office for specific guidelines concerning art or speech entries. Some examples of speech events would include Bible or poetic recitation, duet acting, plays, or choral speaking. Just a reminder that these pieces must be memorized. Thank you!
