HOLMIUM LASER FIBERS

Holmium Laser Fibers with SmartSync™ Technology are compatible with most SMA-905 holmium lasers and are the exclusive fibers for use with the H-30™ Holmium Laser System.

The single- and multi-use fibers are 3 meters in length. The fibers’ color-coded connectors help you distinguish between single- and multi-use fibers and between the various sizes of multi-use fibers. The protective material that is integrated into the hub of the fiber absorbs errant laser blasts and protects the optical deck on the laser system from damage. This material helps to make the blast shield a redundant measure. A SmartSync microchip is incorporated into the fiber hub. This microchip communicates fiber-recognition and data-collection information with the H-30. However, confidential patient data is not collected.

Single-use FibersSingle-use fibers have red connectors and are offered in six core diameters.

Multi-use FibersMulti-use fibers have color-coded connectors that help you easily identify the fiber size and are offered in four core diameters.

The number of uses for each multi-use fiber depends upon how carefully you handle and reprocess the fiber. Acceptable on-site reprocessing methods include steam autoclave and Sterrad sterilization.
