Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through. A
man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was
a chief tax collector and was wealthy. He wanted
to see who Jesus was, but being a short man he
could not, because of the crowd. So he ran ahead
and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since
Jesus was coming that way. When Jesus reached
the spot, he looked up and said to him,
"Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must
stay at your house today." So he came down at
once and welcomed him gladly. All the people
saw this and began to mutter, "He has gone to be
the guest of a 'sinner.' " But Zacchaeus stood up
and said to the Lord, "Look, Lord! Here and now
I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I
have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay
back four times the amount." Jesus said to him,
"Today salvation has come to this house, because
this man, too, is a son of Abraham. For the Son
of Man came to seek and to save what was lost."

In order to allow our parishioners to attend the Bishop’s Levee on January 31st at St. Anne’s
Parish, the UCWLC Luncheon has been re-scheduled to
Sunday, February 7th at 12:30 p.m.
Holy Family UCWLC invites all the ladies in our parish to attend the Luncheon at which time
a new UCWLC executive will be installed. Also at this luncheon we will be honouring our
catechism teachers. Please come to say “thank-you” to our catechists for their commitment to
Holy Family’s Catechetical Ministry.
A reminder to the UCWLC members that membership fees are due. Members may pay their
fees at the Luncheon on February 7th. Total fee is $22.00 ($20.00 is membership fee and $2.00
goes towards Immaculate Heart of Mary School.

At the service of the feast, we pray as Father dips the hand cross in a large bowl of wa-
ter. In this way, the water is made holy. Then Father sprinkles water on the walls of the
church and on us, as a blessing.

To escort residents of Holy Family Nursing Home to Divine Liturgy every Sunday morning for the
month of January. This is a parish sponsored charitable service.
Please try to give some time to help with this service.

CURLING - February 27, Elmwood Curling Club, 300 Brazier St., Registration 4:30 pm, curling and snacks 5:00 - 7:00 pm. Brooms provided, clean indoor shoes allowed
on ice.

Parish Pre-Authorized Debit Program
We wish to remind everyone that you may sign up for preauthorized giving anytime of the year. Pre-Authorized Giving Program allows parishioners to
make their regular Sunday offering. The Program is an option, not a requirement. It is being widely
used in many other parishes and we want to make the Program available to all parishioners who
would like to take advantage of it. This is a very convenient way to support your parish even in your
absence. Forms are available in the narthex. Information is kept confidential.
