For Every Child Campaign Have you read about our For Every Child campaign and wondered, “what is a language-based learning differ-ence,” or “who are we serving at our Cli"on Campus school”? Those are very important ques#ons!
Holy Trinity Cli"on Campus serves students with average to above average ap#tude who learn differently. Stu-dents with language-based learning differences struggle with reading and wri#ng, have difficulty communi-ca#ng, and o"en want to avoid school. They may be diagnosed with dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD, anxiety, and/or auditory processing disorder. They might mispronounce words, have poor spelling, or difficulty copying le&ers and shapes.
Our specialized instruc#on is individualized to meet student needs, and we strive to prepare confident, compe-tent, lifelong learners. We do all of this while providing a Catholic educa#on for our students. Holy Trinity Cli"on is the first Catholic school in Louisville for children with language-based learning differences, and our families are very grateful to be a part of the community. Thank you for suppor#ng this important ministry in our parish!
Please pray for the repose of the soul of Sherry Bruce, wife of Karlos, mother to Benjamin, and sister to Char-lotte Bickel, who died recently.

Mul!ple Mass Inten!ons On Easter Sunday, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, All Souls’ Day and on Christmas Eve & Christmas, we will be having mul#ple Mass Inten#ons for each Mass. The customary s#pend is $10 per Mass. Please consider this wonderful way of remembering your loved ones.
Join Pope Francis in praying his October prayer inten!on: We pray that every bap#zed person may be engaged in evangeliza#on, available to the mission, by being witness-es of a life that has the flavor of the Gospel.
Praying the Rosary—October is the Month of the Holy Rosary as well as Re-spect Life Month. Each weekend in Octo-ber we will be saying the Rosary a#er the 8:30 AM Sunday Mass. We will be pray-ing for Respect Life concerns as well as personal inten#ons. Rosaries will be pro-vided.
SUPPORT THE LIFE-SAVING WORK OF LITTLE WAY Please pick up a ba-by bo&le in the back of church the weekend of October 2/3, fill with your dona#on (check to Li&le Way) or cash and return the weekend of October 30/31. Your support makes these ministries possible: pregnancy services (free ultrasounds); par-en#ng educa#on; baby closet supplies; post-abor#on healing; and purity program in schools.
October is Respect Life month. Around the world parishes will be celebra#ng Life and Human Dignity with in-forma#onal opportuni#es and events. It has been the tradi#on at Holy Trinity throughout the month to spotlight several Respect Life issues by hanging white crosses in church inscribed with current topics. In the info area in the main hallway you will find an informa#on sheet giving a short explana#on of these topics, as well as, pam-phlets and flyers which address these and other concerns in the areas of Respect Life and Social Awareness. Also presented are brochures on the work of Catholic Chari#es of Louisville and in Indiana with opportuni#es for vol-unteer work with their programs. Informa#on on Project Rachel, the church’s outreach program for post-abor#on healing, is also available. For more informa#on about Holy Trinity’s Respect Life commi&ee, please con-tact Brandy at brandyknorton(at)gmail.com.
Respect Life Events Respect Life Commi!ee Speaker Series: “Dying with Dignity” Tuesday, October 26th 7 PM in the Mul#purpose Building: Guest speaker, Karen Cassidy, Execu#ve Director of Hildegard House will give a brief presenta#on. Desserts, fruit, and coffee will be served. We will be collec#ng do-nated items from Hildegard’s wish list: liquid laundry detergent, dryer sheets, Coke/Diet Coke/Diet Pepsi, paper towels, and white kitchen garbage bags. Hildegard House provides a home and compassionate care for individu-als at the end of life who have no home or loved ones to care for them so that they may die with dignity.

Twenty-Ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time “Jesus summoned them and said to them, “You know that those who are recognized as rulers over the Gen#les lord it over them, and their great ones make their authority over them felt. But it shall not be so among you. Rather, whoev-er wishes to be great among you will be your servant; who-ever wishes to be first among you will be the slave of all.”” Mark 10:42-44
Stewardship is an expression of our prac#cal faith. It is not just about how we spend our money, but about how we spend our lives. We are called to spend our lives in service to others.
We encourage you to pre-pare yourself for next week-end’s liturgy by reading and praying the scriptures. The readings for the 30th Sun-day of Ordinary Time, Octo-ber 24, 2021: Jeremiah 31:7-9; Hebrews 5:1-6; Mark 10:46-52.
