Regardless of how smart or witty you are there are times when you need to stop and check the usefulness of a positive body language. To acquire the skills of good communicator you require to learn some fundamental guidelines and practice them.
1. Eye Contact
Maintaining good eye contact, respect and interest in what you have to say.
2. Posture
Getting your posture right will automatically make you feel more confident.
3. Head Position
When you want to feel confident and self assured, keep your head level straight, both horizontally and vertically.
4. Mouth
A full smile, with the lip coming above the teeth, shows genuine joy.
5. Arms
Your arms give away clues as to how open and receptive you are to everyone you meet and interact with. So keep your arms out to the side of your body or behind your back.
6. Hand Gestures
Palms slightly up and outward is seen as open and friendly.

NON-vERBAL COMMUNICATION
Non-verbal communication is as important as verbal communication. It includes gestures, postures, facial expressions and mannerisms. The way a person walks, talks or sits reveals a lot about her/him.
Here are some tips to improve your non-verbal communication skills.
While walking
• Hold yourself erect and hold your head up. It is a sign of confidence.
• Your pace should be neither too fast, nor too slow. This shows that you are a balanced person.
While talking to someone
• Smile as this signals that you are a friendly person.
• Establish eye contact with the person but do not stare.
• Always respect the personal space of others.• Do not cross your arms. It shows that you do
not agree with the other person.• Control your hand movements, do not flail
them.• Avoid putting your hands into your pockets.• Do not touch your face, especially your nose.
It is a sign that you are not speaking the truth or that you have something to hide.
While sitting
• Sit straight and do not slouch. this upright, straight posture shows confidence.
• Put your hands on your lap and your legs firmly on the ground.
