Your Title Goes Here. Centered. No Underline, Bold or Quote Marks. Title Case.
The first paragraph of your work begins here, indented. Its one return down from the title above. When writing an essay, always indent the first line only of each paragraph, every time.
See how this second paragraph is indented, too? If you have any questions at all whatsoever on MLA style, formatting or the online writing lab at Perdue, go to the library or the writing center on the first floor of the Humanities Building or the walk-in tutor in the Learning Resources Center in the Library. You can always come to my office hours. If you dont have enough time to seek an answer, do your best to adhere to these guidelines.
Be sure to format your work in this class according to this MLA guideline example and according to the formatting guidelines outlined in the syllabus. If you forgot what those formatting guidelines are, theyre Times New Roman,12-point font, double-spaced. Since there are a gazillion resources available to you to assist with this stuff, not the least of which is me, there is no excuse for not following these rules. OK? OK.
