The Toughest Job

1. why dont you come to listen the pravachan of mataji? I wonder what makes you so busy even when your both children are studying out far

from home?

This question was asked to my mother by our neighbor who thinks herself as a great theist. Though her mother-in-law remains ill 24*7 & even

sometimes spends day without eating anything but going temple and showing worship (or we can say a new sari) is of utmost importance. Nowthis is about her what my mummy does? According to her she do the direst work and that is serving food by herself to her god i.e. her husband

i.e. my papa. Papa has no specific time of his arrival to home but mummy takes it as her stringent to serve the hot meal to him. Still after that she

finds out the time to go temple and I dont think god really wants sme1 sitting always in front of him leaving the actual work needed to be done.

2. Why dont u join ourkitty party, we do some good deeds as well?

Again one of my mummys friends asked her. Who else can tell the best about good deeds other then that friend? She has many times being

successful in making herself to the newspapers by visiting to the hospital. She is really a high profiled social worker known in hersociety.

Though a 7 year old girl work at her home as sweeper who have only dreamt of school and who celebrates diwali y wearing the refused clothesof friends daughter.The little girl works for & earns money for her mother who is ill & cant afford to get admitted in the hospital. Did mymummy have done anything good? Cant say exactly but a newly married 21 years old woman who work as a sweeper in our house gives money

to mummy to accommodate for her daughters future use. This idea was given to her by mummy only. Mummy urged her to send her little young

girl to school and let her study instead of bringing to home to earn more money.

3. Oh! My gosh Archana you should really take care of your skin just have look at your face, your eyebrows and hair my god, some ladies na,theywill put their looks granted just for saving some money.

And all the ladies giggled out after this joke by one lady in a marriage party

I agitated like within no second I will slap tightly to that woman. But no my mummy has taught me quite good manners better than that ladys

daughter who ran away with her boyfriend and never came back. I was not like his son who settled at abroad and forgot his parents as he had

nothing to do with them. After losing both of her children she would be really happy with playing, celebrating, enjoying with the money. Afterallwho needs the family.

I remember when my mother kept all of her gold and other jewelry as mortgage so that my brother could join the coaching classes in Kota

She doesnt buy sari so that I could buy something for myself. She never asks papa for taking her somewhere out so that I could enjoy with my

friends here. I dont remember when she demanded something last time so that me and my brother can have our demands fulfilled. This is allwhat she do by saving some money.

4. Why dont you do any job? What do you do sitting at home? You should utilize your time.

This was asked y mummys friend who is the principal of a school. Principal whose only son is in jail , who was caught red-handed taking drugs

in a late night party. Principal whose husband is suffering of liver damage because of always eating junk or fast food. It is believed thatprincipal never cooked food once in her life for her husband and had no time to look to his son.Infact she was so strict that her son was totallyafraid of her and didnt even wished to see her.

I remember when I was a school girl mamma used to welcome me with a grin smile and my favorite snacks. In my daily routine telling even the

non relevant story of my school to mummy was an integral part. Whenever I, my papa, and my bhaiya needed someone she has always been there

to pour us with her intensive care. This is the way she utilizes her time.

Today its really good that women follow their own way. But setting the mentality that housewives are simple ladies who make their lives

miserable by always remaining busy in family is wrong. A housewife has the toughest responsibility of building up and nurturing the character of

some other lives. Being a housewife is the toughest job to do. One lady has to compromise, sacrifice, pack her all the dreams and have to work

for grooming others and all this has to be done without any selfish motive and gaining nothing but the love. Housewives are the most beautifulladies in this world.
