We would like to welcome you all to Housman Courts March newsletter we hope you are all

comfortable and we have lots of exciting news for you ahead:

We would like to welcome Sandra to the team, Sandra has come from home care so working in this

setting is slightly different for her, she is settling well in to the team

Welcome Sandra

oUnfortunately we have to say good bye to two residents Alan Coley and Constance Jackson they both

will be sadly missed and we send our condolences out to their friends and family at this sad time

Employee of the Month:

I would like to thank all of the team at Housman who have nominated so far we have had our third

nomination, and I am very pleased to announce that Megan Kent has been nominated as our winner

Megan has been chosen by other staff for always smiling, working hard and generally being happy

every day, she really deserves this

We had two other staff whom came very close with nominations as well Mike Whild and Donna Bates

again the comments written for all staff were over whelming .WELL DONE MEGAN and please

nominate for May . The purpose is to raise the spirits and to show we all do a good job. You all do

work really hard to make it a lovely home for the residents & a happy place to work.

You all deserve to be nominated for Employee of the month for making such a difference to all the

residents so let’s see how it goes next month

Please support us & let us know who has made a difference to your daily life. Nomination forms are in

reception & these can be put through the office letter box. This is for families as well. Please try it, it

does make a difference

Events over April

ST George’s day celebrations

Every one enjoyed the singing and the celebrations Mary did you forget it was St Georges

Day!!! You can’t take Ireland out of the Lady

We also had a day out to Marks and Spencer’s Long bridge for a well-deserved hot chocolate which

was enjoyed by all, Thank you Carina for organizing it and the mini bus for taking us

The residents came over from the park for an Easter coffee morning.

It was lovely to see them and they brought gifts of Easter chickens with Easters eggs in them .these

were enjoyed but all

The residents are regularly seen around the home keeping busy, we do painting and arts and day to day

activities,

We also have a regular cooking club in house this is always busy

Pam is always a regular at cooking club and had always enjoyed cooking

Again I would also like to Thanks the volunteers we have here at Housman Court, who take their time

out to come in and spend time with our residents

You are all very special people to do this and we are always grateful

If anyone would like to offer a few hours a week please feel free to speak to Salli, Georgia or Caroline

about this

On a Monday and Wednesday afternoon around 2pm we offer MOVE sessions, these are provided by

Carina and Tina .All are welcome to join in, it is a lot of fun and also provides great exercise with the

hope of reducing falls with the elderly, this is now monitored by the girls to, please see our website for

a quick demonstration
