Before creating my magazine I conducted audience research and asked 20 people from my target audience to answer questions. I then used these results to start planning my magazine production in order to appeal to the correct people. For example, my research showed that the two colours that most people would want to see on a front cover are Yellow and Red , I therefore used these colours on my front cover to attract and appeal to my target audience. My research also showed that most people would buy music magazines every month, so i decided that my magazine would be distributed monthly

The image I used on my front cover should appeal to my target audience as it reflects the indie genre and conveys an attitude. My audience research also showed me a variety of peoples favourite artists. I took this into consideration when choosing my cover lines and contents page articles an example would be Coldplay

On my contents page I have again used images that reflect the indie genre . I have also ensured that the colour scheme is consistent on both the front cover and on the contents page as these colours according to my research will attract my target audients.

I think that the band I interviewed for my double page spread article would also attract my target audience . The band I chosen to feature write about write their own songs as well as covering songs by other artists. On my double page spread I used a headline that bleeds across both pages and would hopefully attract readers and encourage them to read the article.
