SURVIVAL TIPS TO MR. H’S GRADE 5 CLASS
By: Ryan
If you want to survive in Mr. H’s class this year, you better follow my survival guide for advice.
Planning
When Mr. H gives you homework, you better plan out a schedule to when you will do which kind of homework. Mr. H expects a lot of quality in your work. The good news is that usually, homework isn’t due on the next day.
Organization
You must organize yourself and your work. For example, you have to remember to pack your planner every day. Organize your work in different “pockets” or folders.
I suggest you to keep your loose sheets of paper in files or folders so that they won’t get ripped, crumpled, or lost.
Going from Classroom to Classroom
Keep all your stuff that you don’t need to bring home in your cubby so that you won’t lose it. When you go to the classroom next door, check your schedule and bring everything.
When you get home from school, check your cubby and planner at least 2 times so that you won’t forget to bring home your assigned homework. Remember to bring your work to the other class before recess as you won’t be able to get it after
Homework & Deadlines
Remember to check your planner daily to see what homework is due the next day. If you really forgot to do your homework by the deadline, don’t lie about it. The more you lie, the more trouble you get in.
If you forgot your homework next door, say “Sorry, Mr. H, I left my homework next door. I’ll give it to you after class/ before recess.
Participation, Co- operation & Group Work
Participation and co- operation enables us to build friendship. Co- operate with others, even though it is someone you dislike. Remember that your time management is very important. Split up your jobs as there is no point doing one thing together.
Toilet, USB & Water bottles
Remember to bring your water bottle to class every time so that if you are thirsty, take a sip of water. You won’t like it if you are hot and sweaty without water!
Go to the toilet at recess time so that you won’t have to waste your class time.
Bring your USB to school every day so you can work on the work that you have saved at school.
Independence
Be independent in school and help others when in need. Being able to work independently means that you are in a great position to help yourself and others. Independence is the key to being successful.
This concludes my “Survival guide to Mr. H's Class. I hope you are on your way to a very successful year!
THE END!!!
