How the SHIELD Submacarrier works The SHIELD Submacarrier is, without doubt, one of the most impregnable, robust and versatile inventions of the 21st century. As a result of its manufacture, it is now possible to: make adversaries completely oblivious thanks to its ingenious camouflage; overthrow anything in its way; and travel faster than the speed of light! Astonishingly, the Submacarrier is equally dominant in either the sea or in the air thanks to its intelligent conception. It is almost impossible to believe that something as inanotive as the Submacarrier could really exist - yet the way it works is surprisingly simple...

Sailing deep beneath the sea, the Submacarrier initially appears to be a fairly normal submarine. However, if any foes are detected or if any severe incidents occur, it can transform into the Helicarrier in under two minutes. First, the thrusters appear from the bottom of the craft, so it will not only support it, it will also help the Submacarrier to ascend to the surface. Following that, the propellers retract (when in the air) and the rotors extend out of from the sides to keep the Submacarrier afloat. Although the Submacarrier needs colossal amounts of energy to keep itself in the air, it will never need to refuel thanks to the Arc Reactor (similar to the one that Iron Man uses to power his suit)

With the vessel now airborne, Phase 2 is engaged: making the contraption unperceivable! Covered in burnished and powerful LED panels (which turn out to be solar panels) every inch of the Submacarrier on the exterior as well as the weapons can adapt to its surroundings. Additionally, the craft carries an onboard anti – radar system, as a result it blocks any enemies from connecting with the vehicle by sending viruses to adversary’s craft. The Submacarrier’s armour uses tiluminum-steel (which is the strongest steel in the world) therefore making it impossible to fracture or locate.

Constantly getting attacked by foes, the Submacarrier is fortunately equipped with a range of weapons as well as some defence too. The LED lights are self-healing, so if anything collides or hurts them, the Submacarrier’s LED’s stretch together once again. Occupying the front of the vehicle are formidable disintegration lasers (that shoot acid to disintegrate anything in the way). Nuclear missiles are positioned at the back, as a result, it can ambush enemies in seconds. On the very top of the Submacarrier is a recovery centre, therefore if any MSs (Mini Submacarriers) get hit, the robotic arms will fix them in no time. There is also a working dome to protect the crew if they are in the sea. At the bottom are escape pods, consequently the team can hurry to the pods and survive anything that happens to the craft. As a result, the Submacarrier remains the most impregnable and robust battlestation in the SHIELD fleet, and is often used by Tony Stark and the Avengers to tackle Red Skulls malicious schemes.
