Step 1

First of all, draw a circle. As you can see, it doesn't have to be perfect.

 

Step 2Next, draw the facial features. like the eyes, nose and mouth

 

 

Step 3Now you must draw the face shape. You can rub out the bottom part of the circle now

 

Step 4Now time for the hair! slap in some ears and do the fringey part of the hair before the top bit.

 

Step 5Draw the top part of the hair but make sure theres a gap between it and the original circle seeing as your hair isnt totally flat. Add in a neck and the hair under under the ears. keep in mind this depends on the hair cut of your character..

 

 

Step 6Now all that's left is to rub out any random lines that aren't wanted. And there we have it! a manga face!

Step 1Okay... *_* my first tutorial... First draw a roundish "U" shaped head.

 

Step 2then a "n" shaped body...

 

 

Step 3Make the top of the head rond and the bottom of the body flat.

 

Step 4Add 2 chubby legs XDD

 

Step 5Then add 3 circles on each side of the body for arms 8*D

 

 

Step 6now pick some eyes... there is either red, blue or pink. (i am using blue)

Step 1First you need to pick a reference picture. Make sure to pick something that interests you so you don't get bored while drawing it.

 

Step 2-Haha. xP It looks so funny.- Next, just do a realllyy rough sketch. Don't spend too long on it. I used the pen tool, but you can pretty much use anything you want.

 

 

Step 3Add a new layer. On this layer do a more clean sketch. You can do it in color or just black again. It's not going to be the final lineart. Again, I used the pen tool, but you can use anything you want.

 

Step 4Add a new layer. On this layer you do the skin. First, I just did a light yellow fill with the pen tool. Then, I used the airbrush for the pink shadows and the blend tool to make it smooth. Then, back to pen tool for the lineart. Last, just add the nose and mouth.

 

Step 5Add a new layer. On this layer do the clothes. Do it pretty much just like the skin. Do the main color fill with pen, shadows and highlights with airbrush, blend where neccessary, and back to pen for the outline.

 

 

Step 6Add a new layer. Here I just did a quick sketch for the eyes since I didn't do it above.

 

Step 7Add a new layer. Here do the actual eyes. I used pen tool for all of it.

 

Step 8Add a new layer. Do the hair. This was the hardest part for me, definitely. I just did the light blue fill and then did the shadows. All with pen tool. Then used the blend tool where neccessary.

 

Step 9New Layer. Eybrows. ^^ Self explanatory.

 

Step 10New layer. Add the highlight. For the highlight I used white and made the layer on low opacity. Maybe add a border and signature. Then you are finished. :)

Step 1

start with a reference picture (if you do use ref. pics, anyway).

 

Step 2Crop the picture so it will be proportional with the RMD drawing box. Add guidelines (I found that this helps a lot with placement).

You can do this step on Paint or another picture-editing program.

 

 

Step 3Get the colors from your reference picture ( I use the eyedropper tool on Paint).

 

Step 4Always start with you background first. Disregard the areas where the character will obscure the background.

Shades of blue done with spraypaint.

Clouds done with line tool. Shadows in clouds done with fill tool at 12.

 

Step 5Add lines.

Try to use the undo button to get rid of your mistakes, instead of covering them up. It saves a lot of ink.

 

 

Step 6Color first. Draw what will be covered, like a 1st layer.

 

Step 7

Draw the face and the shadows the hair makes.

 

Step 8Draw the hair.

 

Step 9

Add whatever else is in the picture. In this case, his guns, hands, and rings.

 

Step 10Add lines...

 

Step 11And you're done!
