Today’s lesson is about keeping safe on the Internet

1. Create a NEW BLANK WORD DOCUMENT2. Save it as Internet Safety (In your ICT folder)3. Open up the Thinkuknow website4. Click on ‘how to have fun’

5. For each of the EIGHT sections shown below, write your experience of them, or how you use them to have fun. If you haven’t used one of them, or don’t know what they are, read the text and then write what you think.

Have you copied and pasted this document into your ICT folder? If not close me down and do it now!

6. Now click on the ‘how to stay in Control’ link

7. Again for each of the TEN sections, write down a sentence for each saying how you would stay in control for this specific section. If you haven’t used one of them, or don’t know what they are, read the text and then write what you think.

8. Now you have to copy and paste all that is in your WORD DOCUMENT, into your INDEX page (in your Website folder)

9. Open up Dreamweaver (Start -> Programs -> Macromedia -> Dreamweaver 8)

10. Click File, then Open. Now find your Index page in your website folder and click Open.

11. Paste all the work from your Word document into the area shown in the red rectangle below:

12. Now you must place a link below your text, linking to the Thinkuknow website….
