    CHAPTER 2.REVIEW OF LITERATURE In this chapter the sources from which the information was

    collected were described such as

    - Academic Journals

    - Conference Proceedings

    - Online databases A review shall include-

    - Major objectives.

    - Methodology adopted.

    - Major findings of the studies reviewed. Literature of similar topics of last 5 years shall reviewed

    and 50-75 reviews shall be included in this chapter.

    Eg:- Parvathammma,N.,Shankar Reddy1evaluateeffectiveness of public libraries from users point of view throughthe survey of information resources and services in publiclibraries in Gulbarga district was undertaken with questionnaire

    as a data collection tool. Out of 450 questionnairesdistributed,259 users responded(57.7%). The findings includethat the majority of users are men and between 11 to 30 years ofage. Students, job holders in private or public undertakings werethe regular visitors to the library,who visited the library daily oratleast once in two days, mainly to read newspapers andmagazines, only 2 women(0.77%) and 4 men above 60 years ofage(1.54%)visited library during study period.

    Population and Sampling Population A complete group of entities having some

    common set of characteristics.

    Sample A subset or some part of large population.

    presented using tables in the chapter.
