No! Not China, but Christ.” James Hudson Taylor has been referred to as one of the most significant Europeans to visit China in the 19th Century. On 1 March, 1854, this missionary from England first landed on the shores of ShangHai to start his gospel work in various places in China. From then on, his heart was bonded and tied to China. In 1965, Hudson Taylor deposited 10 British Pounds into a bank in London England in the name of China Inland Mission (which later became OMF) – along with all the promises of God. In the next 40 years, by faith, he drew multifold blessings to provide for his ministry and supported many missionaries from England and beyond to serve in China.
