Methodology

Administered during the first week of April at the Weber County library in Huntsville then taken door to door to Huntsville residents

Resident Status was verified prior to taking survey

Responses were kept confidential Approximately 270 surveys were completed

– which is a representative sample of 90 percent

Small local businesses wanted such as grocery, restaurants, auto repair and wash, medical facilities, and entertainment.

Keep the rural town feeling. The LDS church chimes are going to be or

need to be fixed.

Recommendations Huntsville Town should keep the rural feeling of the town by

using ordinances and a historic preservation committee. The town park should be used for local activities and some

small non-town events. The town should reinstitute the ringing of chimes. If Town want small local businesses, commercial properties

needs to be made available through rezoning or annexation Annexation of neighboring land should be used to maintain

rural feeling of town.

Conclusions and Recommendations

Alleyways should be cleared for public use Low lying objects such as: flowers, shrubs,

approved trees, brick/stone mailboxes, and rocks no larger than a man can lift should be allowed

Man made objects, or other items such as: berms, pillars, large rocks, etc should be cleared

Ensure that analyses of water surplus is validated by more than one credible source.

Continue to use septic sewage systems and avoid plans to hook up to planned sewage treatment facility.

Consider long-term Town goals and plans in regards to impacts on water usage and sewage treatment.

Conclusions

Limit the number of horses on residential properties Establish ordinance guidelines requiring minimum

maintenance standards for animal and yard care to minimize excess dust, odor, noise, and other nuisances in neighborhood.

New ordinances should be designed to prevent extremes rather then change current way of life.

Remember to accentuate Huntsville's historic rural feel when creating new animal and nuisance ordinances

Be financially conscious when it comes to developing ways to enforce new and existing ordinances.
