Fall clean upscheduledThe annual fall co-op

    clean-up has been sched-

    uled for November 16th

    and 17th. Join your

    neighbours as we tidy the

co-op by sweeping awayleaves, tidying garden

    beds, pick up pine cones,

    clean up litter, and make

    sure the grounds are spic

    and span for winter. Look

    for a notice from the

    landscaping committee

    in your mailbox soon. In

    the meantime, there are

plenty of volunteer hoursto fill by helping keep

    the fallen leaves at bay.

     You can find brooms and

    rakes in the maintenance

room near C8, which you can access with your laun-

dry key. Bagged leaves can be emptied in the green

yard waste bins near the entrance to the C garage.

Welcome new members& member moves A very warm welcome to our newest co-op members:

Ann Marie in C37; Tina and Scott in A14; and

Robert and Lynn in A17. Rita has moved from

A17 to C16. The co-op also bids farewell to

long time member Gail Murray in A16. Gail

will be moving at the end of September and

we wish her all the best.

Off-leash dogsPlease remember that dogs must be leashed at all times

when on co-op grounds, as per the Flesher Housing

Co-op Pet Policy. A copy of this policy is included

in your H.W. Flesher Co-op Manual. This is a matter

of courtesy as well as safety. Many people, especially

small children, are uncomfortable being approached

by strange dogs, and many dog owners do not want

their own dogs approached by off-leash dogs.

The co-op’s pet policy is consistent with

City of Vancouver leash bylaws. There

is a large off-leash dog area at nearby

    Sparwood Park, 6998 Arlington St.,

and you can find more off-leash parks

    at http://bit.ly/19wg1kK.

A better way to spend faPatrick can’t think of a

    single one.
