IAM Level 5 Diploma in Business and Administrative Management (QCF)
The IAM Level 5 Diploma in Business and Administrative Management is aimed at practising and aspiring middle managers who wish to gain skills in a range of business and administrative management areas. A flexible assessment structure enables each learner to complete the required assessments in a format which is convenient to the learner. This qualification is aimed at:
• Learners who have completed appropriate studies in a relevant subject area at Level 4 • Learners with limited experience of business management in the workplace • Learners at work who seek to gain knowledge and understanding of business and administrative
management at this level, and develop the skills to apply this knowledge and understanding • Independent learners • Employers • Work-based learning providers • Further Education (FE) colleges • Private colleges • Overseas learning providers
Qualification Accreditation Number: 501/2122/4 Credit Value: 120 Guided Learning Hours (GLH): 585-615 This qualification requires the learner to obtain a minimum of 120 credits. This will be achieved through the completion of nine mandatory units (worth 100 credits) and two optional units (worth a minimum of 20 credits). The mandatory units are grouped into four assessment groups.

Assessment
Groups 1-3 are each assessed by either a single, three hour examination or a single, 2500-3000 word assignment. Group 4 is assessed by a 2500-3000 word business research project. Each optional unit is assessed by a 2500-3000 word assignment. A score of 40% is required to pass each assessment; results are graded.
