National Development ManagerUnited Arab Emirates

It is a very exciting time for Cricket in the UAE. The national team recently competed in the ICC World T20 in Bangladesh, and it has also qualified for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 to be held in Australia and New Zealand. The Under 19 team has also played in the World Cup hosted in the UAE in the last few months.

On the back of all this success it is critical that a genuine legacy is left from the UAE’s involvement in these global competitions, and the need for a skilled manager to direct the national development operation has been identified.

The successful candidate will have a passion for sport and is likely to already be involved in a developmental role. You will be asked to develop strategic plans designed to grow cricket participation in the UAE, and will need to work with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve this objective. In addition you will need to link closely with the High Performance Team to ensure that the best young cricketers get the opportunity to play and excel, with clearly identified pathways to represent the UAE national teams at junior and senior levels.

This is very much a ‘hands on’ position and will require an individual with great tenacity and drive to achieve the outcomes we need. It is a new role and you will have the opportunity to shape the way that cricket is developed in the future. You will also need to be mobile and willing to travel extensively throughout the UAE.
