Un inizio di setaTutto è cominciato quando l’artista interpellò le rinomate mani-fatture comasche per trasferire con la massima qualità possibile alcune sue opere digitali su pregiati tessuti di seta, allo scopo di creare una esclusiva collezione di foulard.

Quello che uscì allora dalla stamperia fu un risultato destinato a cambiare per sempre gli standard tecnici ed estetici della stampa digitale, dapprima su seta, poi su qualunque altro materiale.

Già, perché l’inconfondibile tecnica Silkvisual™, messa a punto in anni di sperimentazione, e riconoscibile dalla perfezione morbida ma cristallina dell’elaborato digitale, dalla inarrivabile estensione e fluidità cromatica e dalla texture moiré che movimenta ogni par-te della raffigurazione, apre nuovi orizzonti espressivi, altrimenti impossibili da raggiungere con i sistemi di stampa tradizionali.

A silky beginningEverything has started when the artist contacted the wordwide renowned manufacturers in Como, Italy in order to transfer with the highest possible quality some of his digital works on fine silk fabrics, to create an exclusive collection of scarves.

What then emerged from the printing process was such a result to change forever the technical and aesthetic standards of digital print, first on silk, then on any other material.

Yes, because the unmistakable Silkvisual™ technique, developed over years of experimentation, and recognizable by the fluid but crystal clear perfection of the digital artwork, by the unattainable color extension and smoothness and by the moiré texture that en-rich every part of the picture, opens new horizons of expression, otherwise impossible to achieve with traditional printing systems.

Una vita d’ArteMa un risultato di tale livello nell’arte digitale non è casuale, anzi affonda le radici nel personalissimo e trasversale percorso di formazione tecnica e teorica di Jervé, nella stratificata profondità simbolica delle sue opere analogiche, in un tocco pittorico auten-ticamente all’altezza dei grandi maestri di sempre.

“In fondo sono un pittore, e irriducibilmente figurativo, anche quando le opere che realizzo appaiono astratte” dice l’artista “e c’è un motivo preciso per questo: dai miei studi sulla fisiologia della comunicazione ho concluso che il corpo umano riconosce unicamente figure, o per meglio dire icone, e considera comun-que le raffigurazioni informali come figure, perché così e stato progettato il suo sistema percettivo”.

“Per questo motivo quando ho dovuto scegliere un nome per il mio brand, Iconicon è stata una scelta obbligata: quasi a dire che anche quando una mia opera digitale sembra un puro gioco di forma e colore, il nostro organismo vede e riconosce all’istante la forma che in profondità vi è volutamente rappresentata”.

A life in ArtBut a result of this level in digital art is not obtained by chance: it rooted in Jervé’s personal and transversal training program about theory and technique of art, as well as in the layered symbolic depth of his analogical works, and finally in a painterly touch truly up the great masters of all time.

“After all I am a painter, an irreducibly figurative painter, even when I create works that appear abstract,” says the artist, “and there is a reason for this: from my studies about the physiology of communication I have concluded that the human body recognizes only figures, or rather, icons, and consider every informal repre-sentation anyway a figure, because his perceptive system has been designed in this way“.

“So when I had to choose a name for my brand, Iconicon was an obvious choice: as if to say that even when one of my digital work looks like a pure informal play of form and color, the body sees and recognizes in a while the shapes that in depth are delibera-tely represented “.

nsIl progetto “Materica” è stato qualcosa di più e di diverso da una collezione di arte digitale su seta.

Si è trattato di una riflessione sull’origine della materia, e insieme di un tracciamento di nuovi confini espressivi del linguaggio.

Una edizione limitata a tre sole copie per ogni opera ha dato ai pezzi che compongono la collezione un’aura di unicità che le colloca in una dimensione a parte.

Questa collezione ormai storica rappresenta il vero big bang dell’universo Iconicon®.

The “Materica” project was something more and different than a collection of digital art on silk.

It has been both a reflection on the origin of matter, and a tracking setup for the new expressive boundaries of language.

A limited edition of only three copies each work brought the pieces in the collection an aura of uniqueness that puts them in a separate dimension.

This now historical collection represents the real big bang of the Iconicon® universe.

The Hydro CollectionA striking collection, inspired by the movement of water.

By the shapes created when, driven by fountains and waterfalls, it bounces in the air in fluid, tran-sparent and acrobatic sculptures, visible for a while only.

By the changes of state, when it solidifies, creating geometric crystalline configurations and when it evaporates giving rise to the immense and inexhaustible spectacle of clouds.

And finally by the plants that mainly consist of water: the succulents and the inevitable orchids, the hallmark of Iconicon®.

Emozione. Non ci sono altre parole per descrivere lo spettacolo di queste due opere realizzate su impalpa-bile creponne di seta dalla magica trasparenza, apparentemente monocrome ma, se osservate da vicino, ricche di mille sfumature, com’è tipico peraltro di ogni disegno Silkvisual™.

An extraordinary series of nine works in silk twill stole in size.
