Perceptions of older people

Not able to learn new things

Wary of young people – negative view

Not interested in any hobbies

Grumpy

Set in their ways

Never judge a book by its cover…

Never assume that just because someone is older they can’t learn new things

They have many hobbies such as volunteering

Very appreciative

Have things in common with every learner I supported

My experience

Volunteering is very fulfilling

Recommend volunteering to anyone who enjoys helping others

My perceptions of older people have been changed

- Interested in technology - Busy people - Interesting things to share each lesson
