After EVERY job…
Completely disassemble and rebuild the Shock Mitigater
Inspect and replace the Viton tubing, if needed. If the Viton
tubing shows any wear, or is brittle or hard, then replace the
Viton tubing (9/16”OD x 5/16”ID Viton Tubing, 75A)
With Formate Fluids > 8 pH, we recommend you replace the VITON
tubing after EVERY job
Clean and Re-grease the shaft and all the shoulder bolts with Blue
FM Glacier Grease

tight.
Replace the O-Rings, #5-964, 90A (Viton or Aflas) on the male Stub
Acme threads, as needed, and re-grease the male Stub Acme threads
on the Shock Mitigater, using the COPPER anti-seize grease

-Screw Shock Mitigater onto the gauge BY HAND ONLY. This will allow
you to feel if there is something wrong with the threads.
-A wrench can be used to tighten the threads, but do not exceed 50
foot-pounds of torque.
-NOTE: If you over tighten the stainless steel gauge threads, you
could damage the threads.
