Igniting Minds

Igniting Minds is an online video interactive programme where eminent personalities and technocrats share their expertise and experiences to inspire and guide the student community in the rightdirection. The unique feature of this project is that it provides the students a rare and invaluableopportunity to interact directly with these socaial leaders, innovators & stalwarts of science &technology

• Mould a generation of students, who can dream big and realise their dreams through rational and innovative means for the betterment of humanity • Connect the student community with renowned scientists, technocrats and social leaders• Create a vibrant and dynamic online portal to expose students to the world of knowledge•• Generate curiosity and affinity towards science in students

Composition

The programme consists of 10 sessions (1 session/month) in a year, which will be delivered to students from classes 6 to 12. Every session comprises of an attractive documentary film, followed by a webinar hosted by a resource person (scientist) and a live interactive session. In this interactive session, students can pose questions to the resource person in “real timstudents can pose questions to the resource person in “real time” and clarify their doubts.

Overview

A 15-20 minute documentary film will be webcasted, which will beautifully explain the concerned topic. Then, the resource person delivers an illuminating lecture regarding the subject. Then a 10-minute break is given for framing and raising questions. The co-ordinators in The co-ordinators in every school filters out and poses questions using the hand-raise and question box op-tions available in the online interactive portal. The resource person will be going through the questions raised and answers the relevant ones. Those stu-dents whose questions get selected, gets the opportunity to convey it directly to the resource person (via video conferencing). All the other questions, which could not make entry into the live session, will be an-swered through email or by other means by the resource persons themselves.
