PKC/PYC Trip...dates and more info coming.PKC Summer Day Camps...more info coming. Volunteer opportunities for PYC.7/10-13 2018 Higher Things Youth ConferenceWhy do we attend? Youth need solid ground thatwill nurture lasting Christian faith. At Higher Thingswe hear the same pure doctrines of forgiveness, life, and salvation that we hear at Pilgrim everyweek. We will spend four amazing daysworshiping and learning with Lutherans from allover the country, while getting a taste of collegelife. Every year, youth return home with a greaterappreciation of what it means to be distinctlyLutheran. We “Dare to be Lutheran” and also joinin the fun at a Higher Things Youth Conference! How can you help? We are signed up and readyto go and we would appreciate your support. Wedo not do any fundraising at Pilgrim so it’simportant that we are able to send our youth andparents to these conferences. If you can help in anyway with a donation it would be greatlyappreciated. The Conference cost is $355 perperson which includes housing, meals, t-shirt,entertainment and conference and worshipmaterials for three nights. Please let Kay Tollyknow if you donate so we can write Thank-youcards while we are at the conference and in orderto keep track of our costs. We are blessed to have25 of our Pilgrim youth and parents/chaperonesattending this year. What is this year’s theme, “Sanctified” all about?“I’m the Lord God, Who brought you out of Egypt. Ihave saved you. I’ve saved you from your sins. Youwill be holy to me. You are Holy to me because I’mholy.”We will take a close look at the TenCommandments and how God has called us to beHis own people in Christ. “You’ll have no other godsbefore my face. You will not misuse my Name ordespise My Word. You’ll keep my Sabbath Dayholy. You will honor your father and your mother. You will not murder. You will not commit adultery. You will not steal. You will not bear false testimonyagainst your neighbor. You will not covet - not yourneighbor’s house, nor his wife, or his male or femaleservant, his ox or donkey, or anything, that belongsto your neighbor.”“You shall be holy to me for I the LORD am holyand have separated you from the peoples, thatyou should be mine” (Leviticus 20:26)
