IBTTA PLATINUM SPONSORS ADVISORY COUNCILConnected Vehicle CommitteeIdentify the potential impacts of Connected Vehicles on the Toll Industry with the goal of presenting the key issues to the IBTTA Board of Directors in a manner that will make public toll agencies and private sector consultants, contractors and suppliers aware of the potential positive and negative consequences of the implementation of CV technologies.Once presented to the IBTTA Board of Directors, the CV Committee may continue further investigation at the Board’s direction.

POTENTIAL IMPACT OF CV TECHNOLOGY ON TOLLING Each ranked their list in the order of importance/impact on tolling Employed Content Analysis: 50-year-old process for consensus
evaluation of the written word (Mega-Trends) Each list was assembled into a matrix assigning points in reverse
order of the individual ranking The issues then grouped based on the similarities of their subjects

identified within two or more of the lists
None of the bottom 10 were ranked high enough to skew the evaluation
All 30 were then grouped into three high-level areas of similarity
