The Finishing Toolbox a standard library of SINAMICSDCC application blocks that can run on the SINAMICSS120 motion control drive system and that have been spe-

cially created for you. This means that you can profit fromfully functional solutions and tested know-how perfectlydocumented and tested in advance.

The Finishing Toolbox significantly simplifies material webfinishing applications - allowing for more margins when itcomes to pricing and deadlines. It includes open, para-meterizable blocks, which optionally can be combinedwith the SINAMICS S120 Safety Integrated functions.

With these pre-configured functions and applications youcan realize perfectly tailor-made solutions in the shortesttime.

SINAMICS DCC Line Tension Control

The SINAMICS DCC Line Tension Controlapplication was developed to create aflexible, parameterizable solution fortension or dancer roll based control taskswith SINAMICS S120 as a higher-levelcontroller. It is suitable for web-typematerials in the textile industry.

To set the required material tensionand/or to ensure correct material trans-port through the machine, the standard

SINAMICS DCC Line Tension Controlapplication includes various closed andopen-loop control modes: Tension control using torque limiting Tension control using speed adaptation Dancer roll position control using speed

adaptation

SINAMICS DCC Setpoint Cascade

The SINAMICS DCC Setpoint Cascadeapplication allows a velocity cascade tobe calculated in the drive. This is de-signed for larger production lines invol-ving a minimum of eight drives.

The setpoint cascade application com-prises of system ramp-function generatorand setpoint cascade function blocks. Thesystem ramp-function generator operatesas a central ramp-function generator forthe complete production line and is cou-pled to the higher-level controller.

Indirect tension control (tensionpre-control) using a torque limit

Draw control (ratio between speeds)Additional functions:

Torque pre-control (tension, friction,acceleration)

Line operation, without closed-loopcontrol

Typically the components involved in theclosed-loop control are part of a largersystem/machine, which may includeseveral tension zones and also winders.

SINAMICS DCC Winder:

Solution for winder applicationsThe SINAMICS DCC Winder application isdirectly implemented in the drive andaddresses a wide range of winder appli-cations with one single application soft-ware package. As a result of its openness,the application can be configured or ifnecessary modified as required. Theapplication allows a winder or unwinderto be implemented for the widest rangeof applications also in textile machines.Machine builders can optimally incorpo-rate their existing know-how and profitfrom the fact that the look & feel is simi-lar to that of a function chart.

SINAMICS DCC Load Sharing Control

Coupled axes are used in a large numberof machines. The coupling can either berigid (direct) or flexible (through thematerial web itself). In such cases theload must be distributed between thecoupled drives.

The SINAMICS DCC Load Sharing appli-cation offers the following features:
