First Report After Demonetization


Indian Automobile Industry updates Nov 2016

• Economic growth rate forecast that has been revised downwards to 7.1 percent from 7.6 percent due to effect of demonetization

• Since repo rate unchanged at 6.25, there is no impact on EMI

• Indian OEMs are trying to adopt new technology and discuss with their suppliers

• On ground level, Inflation came down in several sectors especially in Real state and Commodity

• Some key models has been launched in last quarter

• On Dec 16, manufacturers are planning to reduce the production to fill the gap between demand and supply

• Suppliers will be also affected and need to change their business plan accordingly

Commercial Vehicle Sales, Production and Export Nov 2016

• Overall production of Automobile Industry showed more than 11% growth in month of Nov 2016

• On the other hand, Sales of Auto Industry showed de growth of more than 5%

• To fill this gap OEMs are planning to reduce production and would use less capacity of the plant

• Dec would also see some tough time, due to year end and impact of demonetization

• Export registered 3.40% growth compare to same month of the last year
